Replacing inline sprinkler valve
This Rainbird valve had a leak where it joined with the supply line. I cut it out and put in a new one (model CP-100).

There wasn't extra room on this fix, so I would have to follow the pipes further and find another cut point. Hope I don't need to replace it again!

Marking the wires with different color tape is brilliant……. Until I seen your video, I used blue painters tape and wrote on each…… They get all crumbled up and I can’t read them… This old 75yo still can learn something…..Thank you for sharing this information

In some instances, it’s best to have a threaded valve with a slip fix on the other side so you’re able to just unthread it without making more cuts.
