Wondering about the trap for the whole house? But sometimes the first guy 80 years ago just puts in an extra trap , so then you go " ill do that too" . ive replaced alot of cast iron pipe and the joke around here in Cincinnati, is that most of the guys running the pipe were drunk after lunch anyways. It explains alot of the stuff you see when your tearing walls replacing it. Thanks for the video

Twenty year back I'd do it the same, excellent work. 2023 having delt with tenants and clogs I use a router chamfering bit. Doing both the interior and exterior of the pipe before gluing. Old literature will indicate the need to use a pocket knife for the chamfering. A little plastic burr can hang-up on those flushable wipes.

Cast iron hubs, can be notched with a sawzall with Cast blade, and-or grinder. Once notched, remove pieces carefully, leaves you a flush end, no-hub band process to follow. Much better than any id/inside bushings, that leak. Couple cuts, hub removed very easily.
