There's a battery disconnect in the trunk. I pulled it. I don't think I undid the connections up front. Just unbolted the box and moved it enough to get access to the fuse box.

​@@drodriguez3935 not bad. Did end up taking the wheel off, and everything else that he did, but the worst part was getting the belt back on after putting it all back together. Put a used one in, and I think it's gone bad already, so I'm hoping that it had a 60 day warranty or more. 😅 Really just wanted it to last until the weather got better, and that's about as long as it lasted, so I got what I was hoping for. 🤷 You get what you pay for, but it was $60 well spent. 🥴

I have a 2020, that I need to do this for,. I thought it was the battery but nope its the alternator,. Smh,. Might just pay someone to install the new alternator on

According to Rockauto (if you click on part number) 2011-2019 is same, as long as amp alternator is same.

Do you have to unhook the battery?

Yes. Anytime you are messing with replacing a component that uses electric you should. Otherwise you run the risk of causing damage to something. Might accidentally touch the positive cable to a place you shouldn't have and causing a short, blowing a fuse, melting a wire or creating more work/troubleshooting.
