Anytime you don’t have to use a torch inside an attic is always a good thing. 👍🙏
Did residential A /C as apprentice back in the mid 70's to 81. Went into Industrial /commercial refrigeration and massive boilers. Much easier work and much is standardized as you can take out a city block or two if you make a bad mistake. Most techs are scared of it. Especially ammonia. It's way easier in my opinion. Plus everything was very well lit. So glad I retired after 47 years.
Great job! Makes things a lot quicker using the RLS press fittings. Probably when you factor in the cost of oxygen, acetylene and Silphos brazing rods it probably equals out or might even be more cost effective. I see why that txv was clamped down so tight😊 You certainly did a nice neat job on this one ☝️ Thanks for the videos!
Gotta love bolt on txvs!
If this is a scroll compressor it's not advisable to pull a pump down especially when it's going less than 30psi. Copeland advices against it because it could arc. I am at the beginning of the video as I am making this comment.
Great job as always curtis good troubleshooting and repair thanks for the video

Nice job Curt ... Thx
You didn't cut the tube You man handle it when you were uncoiling it from the line. And yes you have two seals in that bag. Great job as always 😎

I want to get that pro press next it make a nice looking job
I usually take an 1/8 bit an drill through the cap that you took off and that way nothing can fall in the pipe and block it being as all the insulation up there
Nice work
No torches, though I like your brazing, the crimping does look easier. Nice job

Could that drier vent be closer to the condenser - lol
What model Milwaukee is that? Would like to get the same set up.
hey curtis what happen to the high end appion vacuum gauge ? I see ur using FP again? I’m guessing it not clogging up with the new valve core tools?
How do you determine if you need a powerhead or the whole valve?
@HVACGUY

I only replace the power head if I can see the line is broken, and its replaceable
Unrelated . Is anyone else having issues with the fieldpiece app since the last update?

Nice fix. How long do your batteries last (2.0AH M12) between charges?

Battery may last me 10 days of work or more
I'm old school, and you lose me with the micron thing. I'm used to PSI and inches of mercury for vacuum. I suppose I could Google it.
I like your videos but you are a man of too few words. I think your audience must be made up of more non-professionals so more words about what you are doing and what the tools and parts are would be very helpful to go along with your ample video. It took me quite a few videos to figure out that the special shader valve tool allowed you to change the valve and not lose the charge. I appreciate your videos!
