I prefer the batteries over charging, my gen 3 always loses battery. Thank you for the comparison!
I was able to purchase three of the Google Nests through my local energy company website, for $10 each. So many rebates out there for upgrading to efficient equipment.

FYI.. when you get the "rebate" to purchase a smart thermostat, in the fine print you are giving permission for the power company to regulate your thermostat remotely during peak usage times. So in order to take strain off the grid, they will pump up all thermostat temp to 78-80 in your home and anyone else they have "consent". hence "the carrot rebate" they dangled in front of you.
It also appears that the Google Nest is not compatible with Google Nest remote sensors, they are only compatible with 3rd Gen or Nest e
I was wondering why this item wasn't in shop for french customer. Then I clicked on your link. Looks like that model is only for America. I don't know if it can work in UE... Definitely cheaper (half the price) but doing the same job!
I just received my Google Nest Learning Thermostat and it came with a card that says "Use the Nest app to start setup"
Just got one from our local NW Natural Gas for $25, Oregon conserve program
Interesting in that I'm replacing the more basic Nest Thermostat with a 3rd Gen Learning Thermostat on my upstairs unit as the barely 3 year old Nest Thermostat refuses to connect to the wifi.
