Hi John. Great content. Do you have any recommendations on how to monitor the IOPS usage of managed disks? It's nice that Azure is adding more flexibility with bursting and similar technologies, but I'd love some insight on the amount of IOPS I'm doing natively with Metrics. Perhaps it's something you can tackle in the monitoring section.

Hi John, thanks for this deep dive on storage. I have a question. You explained in this talk that there's blob storage, table storage, queue storage, and block blob, page blob, et cetera. But in the end they are all just binary data on a disk somewhere, right? So why the differentiation in Azure? A regular binary blob block could also be used as a page file, of a SQL db or something? I don't quite understand why storage for a DB would differ from a page file, as an example. Could you perhaps explain this? Thanks!

Hey John, Thanks for this great video. I am still going through it. Few questions 1. In ZRS, the replication happens between the zones but are there any additional copies that gets created like 3 copies locally and 3 copies in the zonal DC? Or if we go with ZRS , it will be only 3 copies overall with one being in each zone within a region 2. When you say Stamp, what I have understood till date from years is that it’s kind of a Rack which consist of different storage units? Is that understanding right? Can you elaborate more in comments what all is included within that stamp? I’ll continue to post more questions as I progress and have some queries
