Lilmiddwest, i don't understand in this video you say that you have a problem using the aftermarket CV axle and that it would throw a code being that the tone rings are different from the oem tone rings so you went with original OEM genuine hyundai CV axle but yet in the video looks like you were installing a new set of aftermarket axles? If you don't have ABS and the tone ring is there then why is the speed sensor reading of the rings isn't the speed sensor located on the transmission? Also you said when you were running the aftermarket cv axles and it threw a code what is the car doing were you able to drive the car normally? You mention in the video you did a clutch job did you do a video on that? and how did you pull the transmission out to do the clutch on it i know the subframe on these Tiburons are designed so if you try to drop the transmission out from the bottom of the car it blocks the transmission from coming out? I have a 2003 Tiburon GT 2.7 6-speed transmission i'm doing a clutch replacement on it the problem is that i can't drop the trans out of it from the bottom because the subframe is in the way so i pulled the whole motor with the trasmission out from the top of the car using a engine hoist plus it would be difficult anyway if the subframe was not in the way to drop the tranny from the bottom of the car the motor would be supported by one engine mount, the other 3 mounts are off the transmission so you can't leave the motor hanging on one mount while the transmission is out.

i have a hyundai tech that work for hyundai since early 2000s and see aftermarket cv axles come off tiburons ,elantra ,sanata and etc. I have a 2005 hyundai tiburon GT 5 speed without ABS but it only has a one speed sensor on the right front for the ECU to read the speed . The one on the trans is for your gauge . i have a code P0501 Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/Performance so that mean ECU cant read how fast you are going , so let say you wana race someone but ecu will cap off your revs up to 5000 rpm so when i go race at the track i ease the code. so i replace 3 cv axle and 2 sesnor so im belive i have a short in the wiring harness between sensor and ecu... i pulled out the snap-on scanner and try to read my speed when i was driving and ecu dosent see the speed and i try other cars and it can read the speed.... and you ask about the how to remove tans without taking off the motor i was holding the engine with the cherry picker up and i move the sub-frame down enough so i can slide out the trans out .You said you have a 6 speed it might be bigger then 5 speed but cant say if it is or not . i have a video here when i did my clutch job
