Thank you so much for uploading this, all the other videos on yt I saw were from different models that required to just remove whole lamp, but it was actually that easy all along. Really helpful.

On a cold winter evening in Copenhagen I watched this video,walked outside and changed both bulbs in five minutes and I’ve never changed a light bulb on a car before. Well done!

I went to Hyundai buying lightbulbs, but they couldn't tell me which one was on the car, they told me to take it out and bring it back to them, which I did thanks for your fabulous instructions, it was really helpful and saved me a lot of money. Instead of going to Hyundai seller I went to Jumbo and had the choice between four prices.

Thanks very much for that, had a panic when I looked in handbook and it was suggesting removing bumper etc, small hands do come in handy sometimes.

The i30 Estate 2016 i have has both twist type and spring clip type bulb holders and a TIP if anybody has an i40 Estate like my prev car in Scotland there is a tool to twist them off in the headlight when you screw the cover off as access tight.

(Original Poster) Ha ha! That bulb I replaced in the original video has gone. I'm going to replace it today. (Curiously, the original right hand bulb is still going strong!)

Hey Bruce, I was trying to replace with led bulb on my 2013 hyundai i30 low beam section. This video shows a cree bulbs. Can I replace with led bulbs or the set up would not allow it? I ask this because the led bulbs would have a fan on the rear, which makes it more difficult to fit?

Yes, there is an adapter. My doubt is if the high beam H7 is the same as low beam. I replaced one headlight super easily, the other one seems stuck. I removed the cap easily, but it seems that the headlight is stuck no matter how hard I try to get it out. Any suggestions (other than getting someone stronger to help me)?

Which model and year i30 is this for? Im in Australia and my Mum has a Hyundai i30 2016 basic model and trying to find the right video for it. I have to change the whole headlight as water is getting in hers but also she needs brighter bulbs too.

This video is just changing one light bulb. Sounds like you've got bigger problems. You might need to check with your Hyundai service centre.

@@brucelaidlaw well I bought some bulbs but her headlight is leaking so I was going to buy a new one for her also. But if its too hard to replace, I wasn't going to bother and dont want to go to hyundai, as they would charge a fortune.

i30 2013to2017hatchback? so, no need to remove bumper? nice.

Will it work the same for hyundai 130 European model ??

I don't know that model. You need to check if it's a spring clip or a screw. This one just screws off.

You may have a different model. My bulb doesn't screw out; it just sits on two pins. The black back cover unscrews anti-clockwise just a tiny turn. The the bulb fitting also unscrews anti-clockwise again just a tiny bit. Watch the video again to see if you have the same model. Good luck!

@@brucelaidlaw It’s the same model as you. The drive side twists out no problem but I think because the passenger side bulb have never been changed since I got the car in 2017 it’s very stiff.

Put in the same kind as you took out. I'm pretty sure it was a common standard bulb.

Is it a new bulb? Take it out and put it back again carefully. It might not be fitted properly.

You would have to take the old bulb with you to the shop, and check that all the fittings are the same. Sorry.
