i bought a tube of the amtec 559 flux and the atten hot air station. i really love how fast it heats and goes to low temp when parked. the price was better than fair compared to most other brands, and i got them in two days! learned quite a lot from your videos and my buying the items was my way of "paying back"

Thanks for your order. Atten is a great hot air station and 559 flux is best of the best .I appreciate your feedback.
One 80 year old woman viewer here. Thanks to your instruction, this morning I was able to unsolder my first components from a PCB board. A little more practice at that, then I'll move on to soldering components onto boards. I'm/we're thrilled!😊 Thank you!
I have to stop it right after "Do not be selfish". Man, i think you have NO IDEA how much lives, businesses and repair shops you changed with your knowledge and your videos. Because you definitely changed mine. And i have nothing but huge respect to your work. And everytime i learn something new (as a small repair shop from central EU myself), i'm really thankful that you're sharing this with us. I wish you nothing but the best for you, big boss, and your lovely family. Thank you. Really, really appreciate your work. Mad respect.
Low melt solder is really magic. I've been using for 2 years and I still say "wow" every time I use it. Changed my life on electronics!
spent 4 minutes saying "low-melt solder" over and over again. Very cool!

Just wanna say I'm glad there's a guy like you out there Alex. Your channel is fantastic, you share knowledge, I enjoy being informed about products you sell, and all in all I think you make this hobby/profession a better place. I love electronics and just wish I had gotten educated about all of this stuff much earlier in life.
Men are gravitating towards you because you give off an energy that is very rare. It is hard to explain, but you are definitely a leader, inspirational and motivational. Men are drawn to you because of this. Also you are very good at what you do, and you have a good sense of humor. Thanks for doing what you do.
I love watching your videos.. how clean and great job you do all the time. I learned a lot from you, and I haven’t seen anybody better than you on this field so far. In addition what I like is your great personality and ability to inspire people with same business and job. If I ever visit the California I will definitely Stop by at your shop. David from NY.
More detail on the soldering techniques than any video I've watched on youtube, and as a beginner hobbyist, I'm sure you saved me several headaches! Thank you!!
Yet another good training session. Thank you Alex.
Man i have seen allnyoure videos! Its a pleasure and now it's a addiction!! Thanks for charing and really nice to see another mechanic doing his thing :) Best Regards from Sweden electric scooter repair shop.
Very good tutorial on how to do the HDMI connector repair. Thank you for sharing with us.
As someone whose started doing repairs on my consoles I found this tutorial and your other videos incredibly informative. I've been having issues getting components off boards, and watching this video I think my issue is that I'm not applying enough heat. I think it may be time to upgrade my soldering station. Excellent video thanks!
Tbh, you used your electrical engineering knowledge in good way bro, يعطيك العافيه
Wow, what a difference it makes on the cleanness of the work if the customer didn't make any attempt to replace the port themselves and let an experienced skilled professional do it from the start. It looks absolutely perfect.

Yup exactly. I do not attempt any repairs on my own. Car oil? Nope let a professional. Mowing the grass? Nope that’s for professional Broken wire In stereo? Nope professional only

Brother, i followed every step and cannot thank you enough!!!!! wished i had found you years ago!!!! customer was so happy!!!!
Been waiting for a step by step for our techs to learn this process to save from sending off site for this sort of work. Thanks Alex, really appreciate this vid.
Awesome vid and job !! I don't do any repairs, but I like a lot to watch what you do, so I know how much skills you have and I don't, so I won't try any of those repairs myself. Professionals like you will get my Xbox if it need a repair (hopefully not - I try to be really careful with that HDMI connector since it seems kinda easy to break it). Huge respect.
Stopped by for the flux and took away positive attitude,,,, cheers! ;-)
This video really inspires me. I'm a newbie in electronics repair, and I've learned a lot of skills from your channel.
big boss resume all the work in two beautifull and full of respect words "اهلا و سهلا" . thanks you from the bottom of my heart sir ❤❤
Thanks again Alex, I'm not in the repair business only hobby repairs of solar inverters and professional build small controller boards. I have all the tools available but you need to know how to use them. I learned with help of you're channel to do it the right way. Many thanks!

What solar inverters? I just did a couple of those a few weeks back. Aurora-Power one. I needed the service password, and support wasn't very forthcoming so I resorted to reverse engineering and wrote a keygen. If it's any use to you let me know.
Soldering is hard to master. When I think I have it down, something happens and it looks like crap. You deserve to praise yourself! You're awesome at what you do!
Love the hard work. It's motivating! Thanks for the videos!
I am watching you from Cameroon. Your vids are very educative. Thank you.
The first time I ever tried to replace a HDMI port, I did not know about low melt solder, and I made a mess of it. After watching Alex for some time, I bought flux and low melt solder from him.... it is truly magic. Thank you for teaching, and providing us with the supplies that we need.
Everyone needs a big boss. My respect to you both.
Excellent instruction and commentary as always.
Great job. I like so much that background music. After quite a while.
You should praise yourself. Your the most competent KZread repair guy I've come across so far and I watch a few on here.
literally doing one of these tomorrow for the first time and thankyou for the in depth tutorial and hope you have a great day!

loved teh expanation on how you do this!!!
Love the work!
I was watching when you added the low melt to the legs and added more solder. The legs had a bridge and when you added the flux the bridge sucked to that bottom leg. That was neat to see.

Good job mate 👍
Used your advice (as I do many times) and found a loose pin! Thanks!
You are an inspiration!
Awesome job 😃👍
"if you want to prove yourself equal, just watch the video" LOL your commentary is fantastic. Signed, a woman (new) in the field
Loving the lessons learned low melt is magic especially if you know how to use it without rushing. Feel the same bout shipping bought the wife a blanket for baseball games the company said that were I live is a flat $50 shipping.
very instructive. thanks
nice video, BTF as always :D good job
Good job! Thank you
very good job man ! like it
Nice job👍
Hey Northridge Fix, First off, love the videos. Have watched maybe 30! Great commentary and beautiful work. I have a question about soldering the new port: Are you also using low-melt solder to attach new port? Or are you returning to a lead-free solder for that?
@malcolmgervais8457
8 ай бұрын
I’m late but I can only imagine he’s using regular leaded solder, as this has a lower melting temperature so it’s easier to work with, and the lead provides a better joint iirc
another great repair, when using the heat gun to attach the hdmi what temp do you use to keep the plastic from melting thanks for the great videos
Very useful informations thanks
Better than factory, love your shows from ontario canada
Nice work. Did you clean with isopropyl or what did you use?
Tanks you for the share.
Nice job!
hey bud l have just started watching your channel and l have learned a lot so big thank you (yes l have subbed )
Very good!
Great repair, looks as good as the factory.
Hello. I appreciate your films, I am so glad that I can write to you. I have a question for you. Which HDMI connector soldering is more durable, pin by pin or your relatively new method better than factory (using hotair)?
Beautiful as usual.. Was that low melt solder you used to apply the port as well?
What kind of solder was used to attach the new port's pins & what was the temp for the hot air reflow? Also, thanks so much for the great videos! My old port is off w/ all pins in perfect condition & I couldn't have got this far without this channel's excellent guidance!
Amazing!
Great vid
awesome vid
Female here watching for the stats! I love soldering and fixing electronics 😁
I guess you could also use Leaded as it has a lower point. Mix it with unleaded, remove with whick and add more leaded. Not ideal but better than trying to ripoff just unleaded. But true, low melt is a better option.
Best HDMI port repair ever.
Awesome video. What are you charging for an xbox series x HDMI repair?
Big boss is the man!
I try to not laugh but you always get me .. lol... thanks for all the great information.
what a nice job when you get it first without a prior attempt
Inspiring video for newbee
That was an awesome Dr Phil session 😂 PS Hdmi port was better than factory
