My first thought was "probly capz on the pwr supply...". Almost right.

I would not trust any of the capacitors anymore and just recap the entire thing. Replacing it with good Rubycon or Nichicon long life capacitors. This looks like one of those devices where replacing without thinking would be a good option. Usually it is not.

Yeah. The thought crossed my mind as well. I wanted to get it working in one evening so that's what I did. When I fix my desoldering iron I'll give it a proper fix.
