Repairing a lazy headlight on a 1995 Porsche 968

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I remove the headlight motor from my 1995 Porsche 968, clean it up and get it reinstalled. I also do a little cosmetic fix on the headlight housing with limited success. But the light works better!
This should also fix a 944 headlight.
Also. There is some hot staples action in this video.

Ah, working on old fossil cars - I had forgotten how much a pain in the ass it was. Better you than me! 😁

Ha! The pain currently is dealing with 30 year old plastic!

3D printers are getting pretty good at making fairly smooth parts. The problem, of course, is getting the description of the part scanned/programmed into the software. Same thing with CNC routers for guitars, etc.@@SkippyRockGame

that ball is only on one side. It's just a placeholder for the headlight adjustment motor found on the euro cars.

That's good to know, I'm not missing as much as I thought!

@@SkippyRockGame Also those headlight covers are made of ABS so you can use ABS cement to fix them but they get very brittle over time and as you see, split very easily. The new ones are much expensive for the three pieces, but in the end are worth it.
