The only video on KZread that actually demonstrated how to repair the hose rather than replace it. My inner tube had just come unseated and 5 minutes of ttinkering later the shower's no longer leaking, thanks mate!

Wish I knew this prior to ordering a new one

So simple--I fixed mine in 5 minutes! After separating the end and pulling out a little on the the inner tubing, I could see that it was torn open right next to the fitting. All I had to do was trim off a half-inch and push the fitting back into it (no need to replace the whole tube, as was done in the video). I had been unable to locate a replacement hose assembly with ends that matched the taper of my slide rod's shower head holder, so this was a Godsend. Thank you so much!

I pulled the flimsy white hose out, and to my dismay, the tear wasn't visible. (stupid me) I pulled another 3 or 4 inches out and bang! There was the rip. I completed the procedure as shown and the damn thing is fixed for now. Next time or sooner, I'll go with the better internal hose. Thank you much! I'd have never guessed this was possible.

My inner tube was severed near the end. So just cut back and reconnect. I've been a plumber for 35 years and didn't know hoses were fixable. Thanks for the tip!!!

Thank you for deconstructing the hose. My connector is slightly different but same idea. I found the break on the hose about 1 inch from the end and put it back together, "compressing" the stainless casting as I screw the shower head back in and it works!!

Thank you I replaced the hose on my shower head and my daughter’s shower head since I had 2 shower head break on my and 2 broke on my daughter I refused to keep buying new shower head and this solved that problem for me thanks again.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a whole new shower sprayer but you did show me how to fix it so thanks

I kept replacing those damn hoses in 2 showers not knowing there was a plastic inner hose inside and thinking that the metal pipe was the faulty one. If I'd watched that video earlier, I would have saved some. Going to the Home Depot and getting that clear plastic matching the size of the one inside the hoses. Thank You.

Thanks heaps! You saved me calling out a plumber. I just had to cut off a small amount of plastic tube and feed the good hose back onto the fitting. I couldnt remove entire hose because the other end is not accessible. I dont know how long it will last, hopefully until I do a bathroom renovation XD

I've fixed one that just came off the metal insert but the hose was still good. I cannot believe they used that flimsy hose material in yours. That's disgusting. I didn't think the pvc hose you replaced it with would fit with the insert. The only problem with pvc hose is it gets stiff over time. I wonder if surgical rubber hose would work and last. I bought a brand new 79 inch hose and it started leaking at that point after only 5 months. They're sending me a replacement. For 15 bucks it should last at least a year or two. Good video.

In my bathroom we have a 1970’s+ elaborate shower contraption. It seems like the through the years, certain parts were replaced, but some new pieces weren’t compatible with the old parts. Can the shower head holder be replaced? The now functioning shower hose, thank you, never fit into the part that is permanently attached to the vertical handle bar. How does that work?

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to see him replacing the hose, godammit. But he did show us how to upgrade the internal hose though. I guess it's kinda fall to repair category.
