Gary Trent Jr. is a nice player. His shooting can get hot for a team that needs scoring. He was good in Portland and Toronto.

I'm not willing to call him a bad shooter when he has 2 years under his belt and he is much more focused on other parts of his game that mattered more the past 2 years. He'll get better at shooting as his role is more clearly defined.

He hasn't been a deadeye out of the corners but improved a lot from the top of the key and he has the exact mental makeup to be shooting hundreds of corner jumpers a day to get where he needs to go. He'll also do better on finishing drives. He didn't look great going against Gobert and Davis but those two are the best shot blockers in basketball. He can absolutely shoot and will prove it -- which isn't to say I'm glad KCP is gone at all. Ask the Heat if Braun helps teams win at the highest level or not. They forgot to account for him and paid the price.

@@joebowen8599 the problem I have with D Lo is that when his shot is not going he gives up. He has to find another way to impact the game. Rebounds, creating plays for someone else. Or just hustling for 50/50 balls boxing out, taking a charge effort to help your team out makes a difference. Keeps your guys griinding and trusting each other.

The Lakers hire experience assistant coaches to help JJ Rhetoric, lol why not hire JJ as an assistant so he can learn from experience coaches. Make it make sense.
