Repair Leak in Air Conditioning System Using Easy Seal
Explaining how when there is a coil leak or a line set leak
this could save the consumer and the technician both time and money, using this when there is a copper line set leak. under ground refrigerant leak start by hooking up high side hose first
then hook up service which is service hose. always purge hoses.
once gauges are installed turn heat pump on. the process will take about one minute. once easy seal is installed leave air conditioning system running for one hour at least.
Thanks for watching!

Have you ever used Procharge Products R22 Recharge Dye and Sealer? It comes with a gauge on hose and can of R22 with dye and Sealer. I wanted to add to my 25 year old system which I've been told is 3lbs low. It seems to have a small slow leak. Seems pretty simple to use. About to try but wanted to see if anyone else has done it.
Great video.

This stuff only works on very small leaks if you are having to get your system recharged every season it should work. However if you get your system recharged and it all leaks out in a 2 weeks your hole is 2 big for it to seal. I have had success with this product in old systems that have small leaks

Late answer... The system won't engage the air conditioning system compressor unless there is gas pressure. So the system must be partially charged and then add the leak sealant. Run for a period of time then top up and do a leak check. Doesn't work on large leaks so best to do a dye test first.

I didn't notice you purging the service hose before connecting it to the easy seal

I agree, he needs ball valves on the ends of his hoses then he could have purged the yellow hose then connected it to the tube. Otherwise there had to be some trapped air in the yellow hose. I used this stuff on a lineset leak under the slab which was a a small leak but it took I think 3 times. I would use it again but it would depend on the age of the equipment and where the leak is. Obviously it will never work if it's too large.

I've watched 3 videos on this EZ seal and each guy did it wrong, including this guy. The irony is he started with "always purge your hoses" then he didn't.
Today I was in a cloud of 410a and easy seal. It jacked me up and I had to go home. I can still feel the sealant in my nose. By the way last year i installed the easy seal. I was back for a low charge. Also my ratio was messed up 1 to 2. Or my gauges are way out of wack.
Thanks for letting me know. I have never been a big fan of leak stop.
We service lots of old units, with low budgets. This stuff is magic. Evap coils and line sets. Sometimes, this is the only option. My gauges are fine. We've lost zero compressors and zero metering devices. Probably 30 units over 2 years or so. We always use detectors, bubbles and high pressure nitrogen first.

Mr. Jones, did you have any issues with this system after using the product on it or did it solve the problem?
Thank u sir
Did you or will you be doing a follow up video to see if product works...?
That was too easy👍
how long do I have to wait to add refrigerant following the Easy Seal?
Would Calgon Easy Seal work to seal a refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil which sits atop the furnace on our dual fuel system? Our heat pump started not cooling properly (cooling only to 75 degrees and no lower) and the technician who came to look at the problem found evidence of refrigerant oil in the evaporator pan beneath the coils. But try as he may the A/C technician couldn't find the leak with his sniffer. He stated only a new system would resolve the HVAC problem. I'm now debating whether to have a new (and expensive) duel fuel unit installed or find a technician who would try this product. With the price of freon and the kit required to recharge the system this could be a nearly thousand-dollar gamble but compared to approximately $9,500 that was quoted for a new system to be installed it might work. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
How is is done in a mini-split that only has a service hose port on the low side? Thanks
How did it go? My system is flat right now and After an AC tech came and check it out, he said our line set under slab was leaking and we lost everything all Freon. I don’t I’m not sure how big the leak is. I’m thinking of attempt to try One of these products to see if I’m lucky so I have to spend 8K to 10 K to replace the system.
I had a technician come and service mine because it had a leak supposedly they fixed it but then it did not work again then I had another technician come out and put in the stop leak and to check for the leaks but it had not worked either and it have Freon sprayed all on the outside of the unit it is a Rheem and I have had problems with it from the beginning when they installed it now this person wants to put in another new units this one is still covered under the warranty what would be my best option
David, did the product work for the custom? How often have you used it. Has it ever damaged equipment or gauges in your experience?
This unit looks really new. If a contractor installed this unit on a leaking line set then the vacuum could not have been properly done. If that is the case then couldnt the easy seal be activated by the non condensibles in the system?

You said "always purge your hoses," but you didn't purge your service hose (the yellow hose) before sending pressure through the injector into your system. How are you supposed to purge the service hose with these injectors? Surely there is some air in the service hose that goes into your system using the method shown in this video.
Ive been watching your videos for I know at least 7 years. Im looking for a ac sealer and didn't know which to buy. I looked no farther for a product.
Can this product be used more than one time?
What if it dont have pressure
The evaporator core could be leaking. You didn’t say if you isolated and did a vacuum test
I have a silly question: he didn't purge the service line (yellow) so what happens to the air in that line? Thanks!
@bigneilh

Ok maybe he did bleed that line but did he bleed after the leak seal? I would think before, no?
You add the Easy fix before you fill the freon back up, correct? So it is still below 5 lbs? I have a very small leak that I believe this will fix great but of course the AC man said no, it was a joke. I beliebe it will be fine. Do you have a video for us NON AC repair guys on how to use the gagues? I'm guessing the high pressure side is in the back and low is in the front. Your Expertise is appreciated!!

David Jones- Not to be a assistance but that shit will ruin your expensive guages. If you have a leak in the line set either repair the pipe or replace. **Line-set should not be buried, not code** Besides this you have great videos.

I guess the yellow hose doesn’t get air in it and doesn’t need to be purged
use a cheap set of gauges or super short hoses with z-manifold...
do you top off refrigerant first or after doing this?

@@martinwoods6716 - Compressor manufacturers do not want it in compressors under their warranty. This "stuff" might work on very small micro leaks. I don't really recommend it, but will use it if the customer insists. But I tell them the odds of it working are very low and make sure they understand this. Write this up on their invoice and have them sign it, agreeing that they know it probably won't stop the leak, but they choose to have it put in their system by their choice. Fix the leak or replace the system or the Acoil which is where the leak is 99% of the time............ or throw your money away on sealant that doesn't work hardly at all.

Alot of my clients are having efficiency issues due to bum techs putting AIR into the system, and the worst thing you have to gamble guess what's the problem, most of the time I just vacuum and recharge the unit with new refrigerant that solves their problem 80-90% of the time. Just if tecs could pay attention, stop putting air into systems and stop releasing refrigerant into the air we could make this would a better place to live in.
tech used this stuff on my R22 system. Says it seals small or larger holes. Total BS. I spent $600 on freon to boot and this sealer doesn't work. Don't waste your money on it.
Hate to tell you you need to add to the suction side not the high side using it on the high pressure side you. Will trash the compressor
