Regulator
The voltage regulator controls the amount of power distributed from the alternator to the battery in order to control the charging process. Regulators are designed with different functions and work depending on their specification.
Rectifier
The rectifier is used to convert current from alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) during the charging process.
Rotor
The rotor is the spinning mass inside the alternator that rotates via the pulley and drive belt system. The rotor acts as a spinning electromagnet.
Slip Rings
The Slip rings are used as a means of providing direct current and power to the rotor.
Slip Ring End Bearing
The bearings are designed to support the rotation of the rotor shaft.
Stator
The stator consists of several coils of wire wound through an iron ring. The stator sits outside the rotor, when a magnetic field is created the electrical current is made.
Drive End Bearing
The bearings are designed to support the rotation of the rotor shaft.
Pulley
The pulley is connected to the rotor shaft and the drive belt system. Rotation created by the engine the drive belt system turns the pulley beginning the charging process.
Armature
The armature is an electromagnet, mounted on the drive shaft and bearings for support. It is a laminated soft iron core which is wrapped with numerous conductors loops or windings.
Brushes
The brushes run on a section of the commutator at the rear of the housing, making contact with the contacts of the commutator and conducting electricity.
Solenoid
The solenoid contains of two coils of wire that are wrapped around a moveable core. The solenoid acts as a switch to close the electrical connection and connects the starter motor to the vehicle's battery.
Plunger
The plunger works by using the connected vehicle battery and the solenoid to push the plunger forward, which engages the pinion.
Lever Fork
The lever fork is connected to the plunger so when the plunger is pushed forwards, so is the lever fork. This process then activates the pinion.
Pinion
The pinion is a unique combination of a gear and springs. Once the starter is engaged the gear is extended into the gearbox housing and is engaged with the flywheel. This spins the engine to begin the combustion process.
Field Coils
The housing holds the starter fields in the housing with screws. This can consist of two to four field coils connected in series. Energised by the battery this converts the coils into an electromagnet which then turns the armature. When the armature coils are powered a magnetic field is created around the armature.

    Interesuje me, za lezaj prednji i zadnji i kako dihtuje da ne udje voda, ne vidim nikakvu gumicu. Evo mi ga pri ruci, sad sam ga rasturio, pa sam uzeo da pogledam video oko detalja. Lezaj prednji vidim da je u kucistu,kontam kad skinem remenicu da se svlaci sa rotora. A zadnji dal moze preci preko kolektora ili moram prvo njega slomiti. Malo je drugaciji nego na ovom videu. Mogu ti poslati i slike negde.

    ​@@013Djuka Odvrnes prednju deklu i izvuces deklu sa rotorom napolje... pazljivo to radi! pa ces kasnije da izvuces rotor iz dekle fj lezaja prednjeg sto je u dekli.... Zadnji lezaj svlacis preko kolektora ne moras ga razbijati.. ne moras da brines oko vode ne moze ni da udje ni da izadje ona je u samom kucistu alternatora hladi stator.. salji mi slike na nnebojsa90@gmail.com

    Majstore imam jedno pitanje u vezi alternatora sličnog kao u vašem videu ... iz Ml270, 2004 ... posle prvog palenja u jutro .... čitam 12.3 V .... i tek nakon 8 do 10 minuta ide 14.5 V . .... kad je motor vruć ... posle palenja odmah pokaziva 14.5 V ..... dali je to normalno da kad je motor leden kasni alternator sa punjenjem ? Hvala i sretan rad

    Jel se mora elektronicni dio promjenit? Mislim na regler. Ili mogu dtari dalje koristit? Kod mene su se samo cetkice potrosile. Hvala

    Pozdrav, meni je punjenje na ovakvom alternatoru oko 13.75V i posle mesec, dva akumulator moram dopuniti punjacem jednu noc. Da li je to slabo punjenje?
