I actually ordered the REP SSB, because of the Olympic sleeves and the chrome finish. I thought about the EliteFTS. But the additional cost for collars and the sleeve chipping was the deciding factor.

REP has been killing it with quality and their new bars, now if they could just ship on time and not "release" a bar but as a preorder and we still have to wait months for it. I got their swiss camber and my SSB came in just after this video came out. Now just have to wait years for the open trap bar to finally ship.

Nice review Adam! But what’s even nicer is those slick Oak Club Custom Alpha S Jcups you have your SS bar mounted on. I have the same pair I use my Elite SS bar on as well as my other Specialty bars. I love ur color design, that’s very cool and creative.

I don't think I'll ever need a SSB as long as my Marrs Bar holds up, but great review and this one would be my top pick. Rep hit it out of the park. PS - you were right about the Marrs Bar being amazing for front sqauts!

Great review Adam! Hope you can get your hands one day on the UK version of the SS Yoke. It has stainless steel sleeves that fit regular collars and different handles.

Yeah, they did the pad on that bar with the logo facing in, which is weird to me.

I believe Rep said on their video they coming out with different handle options

Hey bud. For the money, yes. Unless you have neck issues, in which case I would go Prime. The back plate removes all neck stress.

I am confused to the camber angle. In this video you mention it being a 22 degree camber angle that “matches” Elite SS Yoke, but in your video on the Elite SS Yoke a few years back you said it had a 30 degree camber angle? Can you please verify this for me?

Hey Trina, the 30 degree comment was based on what I was told by customer service at the time, but it turned out to be inaccurate. Sorry for the confusion!

In this video, when you put them side by side, it doesn’t look like the Rep matches the Elite FTS. If anything the Elite matches the Titan and the Rep is a greater angle than those two.

Really tempted to sell my Vulcan Pro and get this instead

I like it. I went with that one because 2020 I couldn't be picky, and had some credit from a barbell that wasn't able to be fulfilled from my initial home gym purchase (went with Vulcan in that case cause I could get squat stand, bench, plates and I thought bar all at once). I used the Titan v2 on vacation in 2020 and didn't like the handles.

Only real complaint I have is the pad has a little play, not a solid single piece like the Rep and some others, but the pad cover is a single piece so play on the pad could be worse (but could also be better).

titan is going to make a ssb v3 with knurled handles at a cheaper price lol

Based on info I see the Elite FTS bar is 20$ more - for 20$ diff is it worth it?

It’s currently on sale (normally $100 more) and it doesn’t include shipping. I don’t think it’s worth the premium, especially with the clear cost and thinner sleeves

@@kristenwells4085 You still have to buy specialty collars ($45 on their site) plus you tear up their clear coating when you use it. So it's still more, even on sale, and your coating comes off easily when sliding plates on/racking bar, etc. Still not worth it.
