I have 2 volts. If you have a first gen, make sure your dealer has installed the updates to the BCM which will keep the cells as they age fully balanced. Otherwise it could over discharge and shut down and require be an expensive battery rebuild. The update will reduce the electric range a bit, but it is better having the engine start sooner than risk damaging the battery. Mine was done a couple of years ago. If you ever get the propulsion reduced message and the engine runs really fast for a few minutes then you probably need the update. That is an emergency charge as the computer has detected a cell dropping too low and is running the engine fast to gain additional charge. The update prevents this by running the engine earlier to prevent this condition from happening. I know that i will eventually have to rebuild the back at a big cost but i will do it because the car has basically paid for itself over the 10 years I have had the first one. 30 gallons of gas a year is all my wife uses in it. I use even less in my 2019.

Yes i think this one has to be the best one. I cant see any bad points. So the p.o.e is a couple of spare wires in the cable then. Santa on the door is missing a soldering iron in his hand 😀 The metal case is one up from the plastic ones.

PoE uses 4 of the 8 wires to carry power and data on a gigabit connection. Typically the brown and blue pairs.

Question: When the camera was fixed to the house all the cables seem to be hidden. Looks nice! I did not see the cable that powers on the camera. I saw the camera connector where a RJ45 ethernet cable connects to the camera. Will the camera power on with only the ethernet cable connection or does the camera also need another wire connection.

Power over ethernet. Just a single cat5 or cat6 cable is all that is needed BUT you need a PoE switch on the other end or a PoE power inserter block. If you don't have that it can be powered up with an adapter. The eithernet cable is up in the soffit. It was from an origina; system I put in when the house was built in 2003. That system used cat5 to send analog video. I have adapters that put 12v and A/V over 3 pairs of the 4 in the cat5. You don't see the cable as it goes up behind the camera and into the soffit where it is plugged into the cat5. This is a permanent install here so I concealed the wires. Many other cameras I put up are just under test and eventually come down so I am not as concerned about wires being seen. The dome camera I had up there last week will also be going to a different location on a permanent setup so I will hide the wires for it as well. The solar camera, it's test run is over so it will be coming down, and I will sell that one after removing it from my account and completely resetting it and clearing out any data that points to my setup.

@@12voltvids Dave, many thanks for your Reolink Camera videos. Awesome presentation. Exactly what I was hoping for. It appears the Reolink software on your phone is compatible for all your different models of Reolink Cameras which makes life easier. * I am planning to replace my standalone Trail Cameras with wifi Reolink solar with battery backup cameras so I can be in the 21st century and watch real time video from my phone. If you had the Reolink cameras since 07-2020 then they must be good. ** I did not know the technology was this good and apparently simple to setup and use.

At front law needs a lot of work maybe in the spring but you see we get watering restrictions here and you can only water it like 5:00 in the morning two days a week in the summer and I'm not getting up at no 5:00 in the morning to turn the water on. So in the summer the grass gets real Brown because it never gets watered. It's a badge of honor to have grasses burnt to a crisp because that shows that you're doing your part for water conservation.

Question, If the mail person came to your door from the street, between the car and the lawn to get to your door ,,,, Why, when she leaves your door, after not leaving anything, btw, she walks between the car and the garage door to the far side of the garage, and as you are panning up to follow her with the cam, she is walking out from the side of the garage back to the street using a new route now on the other side of the car.... Like,, if she only had business with your front door,,, why the side trip??? Granted it was only for a few seconds but really ,, why was it necessary.....? Just curious,,,, Awesome Cam. KOOLZ

Because she had something to drop off that didn't require a signature and read the sign that said not to leave it at the door. Remember the video where I slammed the postie for leaving a Sony SVHS deck at the door. Well lets just say supervisors saw this and they don't leave anything at my door anymore. They take it to the side door where nobody can see it. Now if only the fed-ex , ups and DHL people would do the same. Just ask the guy that about this time last year decided to send his Sony DAT rec order in for service. I told him to send to my PO Box which is where everything coming in for service should go. He looked up my home address, which thanks to the likes of John Senchuk is all over the net. He decided to ship Fed Ex because for some reason he didn't trust the post office and the FedEx guy left it at the door and it was stolen. Too bad so sad. The pricks at FedEx had the balls to send me a 72.00 broker and tax bill on top of that which wasted about 7 hours of my time phoning and filling out paperwork.
