I have 2 solar charged battery/inverter backup power sources in my shop. They both have Bluetooth, and both have display panel that shows percent battery charge, amps, volts, time to fully charge, time until the battery is depleted. The Bluetooth is worthless beyond 6 meters. I put one each of the Reolink pet cams near the display screens and can look at all of the details of the battery meter anywhere I get a cell phone signal. As a bonus, I can remotely look around the shop and listen in to hear if one or both inverter fans are running. This is an inexpensive way to monitor my meters from anywhere.

Very good and thorough revue. I like that it works with 2.4 and 5 Ghz as I have a mesh network that includes both and it's hard to find one that does that.

does the camera have to be in the wifi zone? my garage is about 50 feet away, will it still work? thanx

The problem with the cloud solution is that if the camera is taken, it won't have enough time to be uploaded to.the cloud

How large of an SD card will it hold?

There will be a new model name E1 Outdoor coming on 2nd quarter this year with motion auto tracking.

Nice, I have been in contact with Reolink as well for other models. However, I like to review things that I actually use and can have an opinion on. I live in an apartment and thus outdoor versions of these cameras are not yet interesting for me. Maybe in a few years? 👍

Auto track doesn’t work and support is ok with this, don’t waste your money,

forget anything that you may be expecting in the box for a comprehensive explanation of what it should be doing if it works right - ibought mine expecting to ba able to move the cam remotely from software...NOPE i was confused because i thought this thing was motorized so why wouldnt it? when you rotate it you can very clearly get the sensation of gears whirring inside. ive NEVER seen this thing move - not once ....but i did touch the top of it a few minutes ago and its hot!... why the hell would a camera be HOT.... likely answer... the motors are fucked up... not impressed with this POS. wouldnt suggest it to anyone - ( i see HE has zoom features. i clearly do not - they are missing from my app and its current )
