Glad you enjoyed it! You just have to keep renewing the free trial every 30 days and so far I have just done that every month. This does only allow you to store videos from one camera, so if want multiple you'll have to upgrae.

how would you compare this to the Ring security cams? Which is better?

I haven’t owned a ring myself so I can’t give you a good comparison. For the cost, I think this is a good deal.

Is there motion sensing tracking? By that I mean if it detects motion in the corner dies it automatically pan/tilt over to have the object in the center of camera. And then track it across the camera range of motion? Like if a cat were to come into frame and walk across it.

No it doesn’t, I wouldn’t be surprised if that came out in a later version.

You can see it on a computer, but you can’t use the PTZ. I would get a tablet if you need to monitor 24/7

Do you have another phone? Perhaps it is necessary to have two phones to set it up. One for the hotspot, and one to use the app to set up the camera. Connect the second phone to the hotspot and then continue the setup.

Does this have a spotlight that you can turn on/off?

No spot light just the IR for the night vision... It does have an indicator light to show that it is on.

for example Ring wifi camaras when viewing through the app will stop after a 1 min or so. Cameras connected to and NVR I can just put up on my screen from the app and watch all day (continues viewing). Does Argos PT do that continues viewing??

I own this camera but will not recommend it. The battery cannot be charged enough during the winter days and you cannot replace the battery because is not replaceable. After a week testings and checks by Reolink remote support and some negotiations they finally agree to replace the camera but on my own post expenses. They are around more than half of the price of the camera. I will definitely not recommend this camera at all. Look at their other models or better other brand.

Questions: 1. Can I manually view the camera or do I have to wait for motion? Example: I hear a sound at night and I want to look out the cameras to get a better view. Can I do this? 3. If power goes out or if wifi goes out will the camera automatically reconnect once the power or wifi comes back on? 4. Is there ANY reason anyone would have to take the camera down and rest anything at all? 5. Can the app be used on a desktop as well as on the smart phone? It's easier to view the videos on a larger screen. I am looking for a no fuss camera to replace my Arlo cameras that require me to get on a tall ladder to replace batteries or to reset the wifi connection when power or wifi is off momentarily and turns back on. I fell from the ladder once doing this. I don't want to risk falling again. NOTE: I need 3 cameras (to replace arlo) and 1 doorbell camera. If I purchase the Reolink I will DEFINATELY use your affiliate link because you are the reason I will buy it. OR do you have a better suggestion for me?

1. Yes, you can manually view the camera. It doesn't have to be an event for you to view. 2. It will automatically reconnect. I had the power go out twice and I didn't have to complete another setup. 3. I haven't taken this down the whole time I have had it, so I can't think of any at this time. 4. You can view videos that are saved to your cloud via desktop, but I haven't figured out a way to view live feed from a desktop. The live feed can be viewed on your phone. If you are using three cameras, you will end up having to pay for one of their cloud services if that is something you want to utilize. Their free cloud license only supports one camera. While we would appreciate it if you used our affiliate link, I would encourage you to check their website for any Labor specials too! Overall, this has been one of my favorite cameras so this is my recommendation but other alternatives may be out there. If you don't need the full PTZ they do have stationary cameras that also work with a solar panel. Just search Reolink on our channel and you'll see some of the other things we have reviewed from them. Thanks for stopping by!

I bought one of these cameras and sent it back for a refund, as despite it being only 12 feet away from my Netgear ORBI RBK50 mesh Wi-Fi router (which has a 4,000 square feet range) it kept on dropping out and would intermittently stream or fail to connect altogether whenever I tried to access it via the app or my PC. Incidentally, I have 2 other Ring cameras in my garden, sited further away than where I mounted this device, and they work perfectly. So, my advice would be to avoid this camera altogether, unless you plan on sticking it to the side of your wireless router where you may have some chance of it actually working properly. totally useless!

I ask because, if it only has one I’m wondering if the camera gets defaulted or has problems switching to the 2.4 (which it’s only compatible with). Ironically, it would make this easier if you are far away since 5.0 doesn’t travel as far. All just a theory though so I could be totally wrong lol

@@3411HeavenMedia Both. I have also tried disabling the 5ghz band and forcing 2.4ghz but to no avail. I could also comment that the solar panel fails to keep the battery charged and is underpowered. So, Unless you live in Death Valley, this will also be useless for you. As I said, I had enough of it and sent it back for a refund in the end.

READ this before buying crappy Reolink. i have 2 Reolink PT and one Reolink Argus 3 and they are just junk. i have no idea how these reviews continue to peddle this junk as great cameras. These cameras constantly miss full size cars, humans walking toward and sideways of the cameras. I have complained to Reolink right away and they refuse to refund the product. JUNK!

I've seen several Reolink cameras used and have them too. Zero issues here. In fact, they're the first cameras that actually work 100% of the time and are effortless to set up and manage. You will not find a more picky person about gear. I really wonder what might be your issue.
