Holy Crap…….. I have heard the REO Brothers do The Bee Gees Medley, Paul Mcartney, and Sultans of Swing but had no idea REO can nail the Beatles music. This was amazing. You close your eyes and you are listening to the Beatles. Will have to dig in to a few more of theses. This was awesome. Puts a smile on my face!!!

They actually do Beatles song when they started and that's when they gain their reputation as the Beatles of the Philippines coz of their spot on rendition of the Beatles songs, they are the only band (as far as I Know) that can play the most difficult songs from the fab 4 and all their uploaded songs they do were LIVE (no playback ) inside their makeshift room/studio. Try to go to their channel so you can enjoy the full list of their timeless rendition from the Beatles and from the great band of the 60s,70s and even the 80s. Enjoy watching... keep supporting them.

While enjoying New Years in Manila in 2017 I heard a band performing Beatles songs. I had to come from the beach to see where this was coming from. I could not believe I was hearing a band playing Beatle songs to perfection. I was stunned. Did not know the name of the band but a couple years later I heard about The REO Brothers. I listened ans was amazed. This had to be the band I was listening too. Now them coming to America, I hope they are recognized and appreciated as much as I do. Thank you REO Brothers for bringing back the sound of all four Beatles together. Your so great and listen to you all the time. All the best to you all.

They announced a July tour for the US....if they were close to me I would love to go....they have impressed me for years.....

So happy to see you doing another REO Brothers reaction, those boys are amazing and your reactions to them are always on point. Their Beatles list of covers is incredible, from While My Guitar Gently Weeps to Imagine. Amazing Reo Brothers.When you cover an Original number for us Lister's it dies not have to be exactly like the original.The essence is how the group or the artiste expressed themselves in taking on the song to another level woven by all the ingredients.When you transcend any of those pieces you do justice to the song and likewise you are effecting the souls of the listeners.Reo Brothers you are doing a good job. Hi and thanks once again for an amazing review ... there are a few things you should know about the brothers ... firstly read up on how they came to be ... their story of survival against all odds is worthy of a documentary in itself ... to cut a long story short they were survivors of the typhoon Yolanda that hit their city of Tacloban in the Philippines in 2013 .... the band was formed by Ronjoseph who made a makeshift drumkit out of tin cans and crisp packets and taught Ralph to play drums ... from then on each brother taught the other to play instruments ... they started off playing music that their father played to them The Beatles being amongst them ... they have played to provide an income to their family which is rather large and all live together ... they never go out of their way to sound like an original recording for some uncanny reason they can just do it ... they have already played in australia, japan the UK (the cavern home of the beatles) and new york at madison square gardens ... their first big gig was at a massive 16K capacity auditorium in the philippines not long after they moved to manila after the typhoon struck ... they have become an internet phenomenon with many beatles tribute band supporters getting a kick up the backside because of these 'young guns' putting a spanner in the works ..... their tribute to a day in the life by the beatles had more positive posts than any other act on the john lennon 80th birthday celebration last year ... known as 'the pinoy beatles' but there is much more to them than that ... they have 270 videos on their youtube channel and nearly 60 million hits ... every video they perform from their home studio is performed LIVE with no lip syncing, autotune or gadgetry ... I can assuire you now that there is NO other band on the planet that can do what they do as they are unique and this is coming from a musician of 45 years ... so please find out more about them and to top it all they are all really great genuine humble guys to get to know . Do you know if they learn the songs from sheet music/arrangements or is it all by ear? I'm impressed either way but if it's all by ear, that's some incredible talent. I'd also like to know how they're using the keyboard. Are they using the preset sounds or are they loading samples from a computer? Because all the orchestration sounds are so spot on. As a keyboard player myself, they're getting so much out of that Roland. Splitting it in sections with one guy doing keyboard and the other doing orchestration, all in real time! I'm working with a Korg M50 and a DAW and struggle to record on separate tracks what these guys are doing live.

@@abc456f hi ... the lads learn all their songs by ear and hard work! ... they are all naturally talented guys .... as for the keyboard I'm not exactly sure how RJ who plays keys and guitars does it .. I will have to ask him if the samples are downloads or if he uses presets .... being a drummer I'm not the right person to answer that lol ... anyway just enjoy what they do as they are quite unique in the way they can 'channel' bands and reproduce live what bands have spent months in the studio perfecting! ... they have tons of videos so please check out their official channel on youtube!

Penny Lane has 7 modulation or key changes and 6 of them go by without the listener even noticing. Basically the verses are in B maj and the choruses are in A maj. What's odd is that this is a downward modulation and you just never see it in popular music and never in big ballads. It's back to front but works perfectly because when you return to each verse it sounds very bright and fresh because you have shifted up a full step. In the last verse it is an upward shift which makes the song sound so joyous and jubilant. Yet again another Beatles song that sounds so simple but under the hood it's very clever and sophisticated. This is why they are the greatest songwriters of all time.

Incredible dedication to fine musical detail in both their instrumental and vocal presentation, and I was extra-impressed by their synth's virtual reproduction of the original version's legendary Piccolo trumpet solo by David Mason. The sound of this one really reminds me of a very-under-appreciated nineties band called Jellyfish, especially in the vocal arrangements. Simply breathtaking...

@@UnhingedReactions Two fantastic albums and their keyboardist-co-lead-singer Roger Joseph Manning is an incredible solo talent and session musician in his own right. His follow-up band Imperial Drag, from 1996, released one commercially lost to the ages album as well.

I believe part of the reason the REO Brothers nail the Beatles vocals is because each one always does a sort-of assigned Beatle voice, e.g., their drummer, Reno, always sings Ringo. And the one that does John Lennon sometimes gives me goosebumps because it sounds like John is right there! What I love especially about the REO Brothers videos is, no edits! We know they're not faking their amazing re-creation because what we hear is always, also what we see. I hope they never change that. (Check out their Earth Wind & Fire some time.)

Just amazing.!!!!These kids can really sing. The harmonies is just great. I grew up in the '70s and there was not a cover band that I can think of that can deliver like them. As the saying goes" you can't deny talent".

Im 66, so alot of the songs they play are right in my wheelhouse, especially the Beatles and Bee Gees.
