Stop hating, this guy got his priorities set. Also to state his parents might have top notch apartment with the best facilities. Makes sense if he likes things raw!
this guy is intelligent - completely agree with what he said @ 8:25. even if he can rent this place for next 30 years he is spending far less than he would spend on buying a flat in that location !! well said. I absolutely loved the house. what was very nostalgic was the chairs in the living room. the wood and wire knitted chairs. the round black and white wired chair - we had it when I was maybe 2 years old and that kind of chair was the favorite for parents to plonk their babies on it for those old style black and white "photo shoots" i have some black and white photos on such a chair too when I was a baby. the size of the rooms are crazy. albeit i would loved a bigger kitchen. and Oh the tiles !! beautiful and the high ceilings !! and the wooden beams of the ceiling !!! every inch of this house is awesome !! this house has a charm of its own. and a garden space !! this is a Gem of a house. I am definitely checking out that shop in Chor bazaar you mentioned.
I loved this place! Charming. Personality. That furniture. Looks like the 1920s - 1950s vibe. That era! Ok those ceilings! Impossible to find such high ceilings anymore
Loved the house. And loved the space he has created for himself. Stop hating people if he has the money why can't he enjoy it? I think this is the most real episode of this series, i found people in almost every other episode to be too much of a wanna be or insecure. But this episode was super chilled out.
The more I see the real estate story of South Mumbai the more I feel how these people are fleeced, I can get the same level of greenery with wide roads, less population density, social infra at Navi Mumbai at Rs25k per month for a 2 BHK. With WFH, one do not even have to travel to office anymore. Why should I pay more for am apartment just because the bungalow next to me belongs to the RBI governor

Comparing navi Mumbai to South Mumbai. You're not very intelligent are you? I've stayed at Churchgate as well as Seawoods NRI. While I do like seawoods, Navi Mumbai lifestyle and citizens are not anywhere close to Mumbai, leave alone South Mumbai.

@@adj33 you yourself are making my point, what do I have to do with the people next to me are RBI Governor or middle class people ( as long as they are not criminals). I can save a ton of money enjoying same living standards in navi Mumbai than South Mumbai.... And isn't this the exact reason why everyone is already leaving South Mumbai and it is being called a place for retirement for old people

Born rich, lives rich & has a rich taste. That Chor Bazar box is nothing cheap even if it comes from a place with a dubious name . Infact CB dealers do not show you the real good stuff unless they are very sure you have the deep pockets to afford it. Many of those tiny or shabby shops are just a front for businesses worth many millions that thrive behind the facade.
This guy should buy flat in our Parsee Colony... which has lots of greenery with central place of Mumbai... He definitely will love the area... Yes.... there is our Chairman's , i.e., MbPT's Chairman bungalow in his neighborhood

Beautiful house. It’s like living in one of those small boutique hotels in Pondicherry or Goa.
At 1 lakh per sqft, it's fine to rent at 1.2 lakhs 🤣
This also shows his Great taste in detail, Strong personality with clear idea of want he wants. I AM SURE HIS PARTNER IN LIFE IS GOING TO BE THE LUCKIEST
Don't know why but this I find the most funniest of tenant episode ever 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It all depends upon what one can afford in life. Every ones definition of home and price he/she ready to pay is different as per upbringing and circumstances. There is quote I remembered "One mans vision is another mans minutia"!

I was staying at this place in last week for 7 days, thanks to my company they arrange my stay in Mumbai at such an best location where i know i can not afford to stay even for a single day, this is one of the best places to call it as home and i hope someday I will have my own residence here 😊.
plz also ask about the security deposit

Thats a detail he wont tell & the presenter knows abt it beforehand. An easy 25 lakh won't be a surprise as the rent he is paying for that spacious house is very cheap for that area. Most such places in old rich areas take high deposit in cash & lower rent. At times addititional lumpsum rent over & above whats paid monthly is adjusted against part of the deposit

@rajat arora If you know how to trade or invest the money instead of buying the flat then you are earning wayyy more returns that can take care of the rent automatically and also re invest the remaining. Be aware that this strategy is followed by some of the biggest investment bankers and please do realise before calling anyone shmuck that you might be financially stupid . You might ask , then why do some buy houses?? Well, coz it's purely an emotional decision rather than a logical one.

There is high scope of redevelopment if you buy the apartment since it is already 100 years old. if you shell out 7 crores now and wait for redevelopment for 5 years and get a 2 or 3bhk. suddenly price goes up to 20-25 crores.

first of all this place will be worth far more than 7 crores. and honestly no amount of money can do justice to such a beautiful piece of property. Secondly a lot of old structures are listed as heritage structures ( thank God for that) so it is almost impossible to destroy these places. I have seen the transformation in Dadar and Matunga where those beautiful 2 storey, 3 storey huge apartment buildings have been demolished and redeveloped into ugly high rises. I seriously hope such a thing never happens to old bunglows and buildings anymore.
