"There is fucking 8 of them in here" Thats whats so annoying and the best thing ever about this game. You get raided 8vs2 and you gotta fight them off with a sword. Yet it makes you feel like you actually have a chance to win.

I love that stimpee adapts and gets better at fighting throughout the video. Fighting BigMike was tough at the beginning of the video, but later at 23:39 he litteraly takes him down in seconds.

absolutely. i love rust but i feel like a rat shooting people in the back 70% of the time. there's a lot to be said for a higher TTK and long drawn out combat with your rivals

The only difference between this and rust is how much you're enjoying it and that makes it so much better, 10/10

I love seeing how many people are new to the animation-based melee fighting genre, I'll leave a little guide on the general mechanics: All it consists of is, - Accels (speed up attack animation, by moving your mouse similar to the motion of the swing), - Drags (slow down attack animation, by moving your mouse opposite from the motion of the swing), - Chambers (Idk if they exist in renown, but if you match the timing, the type and the trajectory of an incoming swing just before it contacts you, you can both parry and then attack in one animation, these are extremely difficult to pull off mid fight unless your enemy is telegraphed), - Morphs (transitioning mid-swing from one attack type to another, Ex., morphing an overhead swing into a stab), - Feints (feint an attack to draw out a parry for an opening), - Kicks and Pummels (precisely timed quick release attacks used to interrupt an attack's wind-up, they can also sometimes stun you leaving you open for a follow-up, though not all melee games have that effect). Since this game is pretty early in its development the servers are so shit that you get things like this (10:20) that happen, that dude's POV probably had you right next to him. But what he did is referred to as sword dancing which is mainly from the old Chivalry 1 days where you would orient your mouse so that the wind-up of your attack would immediately hit the enemy upon release. This was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING for anyone who has experienced it, since it is essentially unavoidable when its mixed with drags and feints. It was later patched out, restricting how much you can move your mouse when attacking, but only when Chiv 1 was already dead. It also looked like you were dancing if you spammed it. That concludes my info dump. (FYI don't play Chiv 1, then Mordhau, then Chiv 2 y'all. It isn't good for you)

Chambers aren't in Renown sadly A general tip for any newbs to Renown. Spam morphs like a little goblin creature, you'll kill 80% of the playerbase. Even some fully kitted dudes don't expect a stick to style on them, and you can steal their kits
