Best speech I ever heard 👌 Thank you for sharing, Asia Society! I have listened to it a second time, still, find new things. Chopsticks' question is the most important question, the core of culture is eating together in Peace! according to Tibetan culture
Thank you, technology is to our service and for you it will make our lives easier. We need to have discipline in order to work together with it
He has many pertinent points, unfortunately, the western countries with a liberal democracy system will find it Very Difficult to Reform the system in order to cope with a Changing World which is changing rather rapidly. Maybe Reforms will only come after there is a major crisis in the Liberal Democracy?
Democracy means the Government governs a country in the interest of the population of the country. If the population elect their leader and lawmakers, and the elected leader and lawmakers do not work in the interest of the population but in the interest of big corporations, then the country is not a democratic country. The most important criterium of democracy is not who choose the Government but for whom does the Government effectively work for. Hence, I would place China as a democratic country but not USA. We may call USA a corporocracy.
