    THANK YOU! Straight to the point, no fluff, no BS, just a simple but very effective video demo. Thanks for no banter between you and your lady friend, no sped up camera on some of the setup, and not saying "basically," "Like" or "go ahead" every other word. You helped me decide that this is the kit I want in my trailer. In my production class you'd receive an A+.

    I bought two renogy foldable solar panels recently. Only one works. I contacted renogy's support and keep getting the runaround. They said they would replace it with a new solar panel but are now asking me to send them more proof to show my panel doesn't work even though I already did that.

    How long will your panels keep your battery topped off? How long can you dry camp? We have an 18 ft camper, but usually are dry camping. We only use the lights minimally, the power awning, the water pump and a little bit to help the propane running frig work correctly. We have no TV and don't use any electric toaster, blender, microwave hair dryer etc. Any feedback would be great. What type of battery is being used? Lead, Gel, Lithium? Thank you

    Hey Mark! We had 2 wet cell batteries in this camper. We've since upgraded campers to an arctic fox 1150 with 200AH of lithium. When we used the solar suitcase on our wet cell batteries it would top them off by the afternoon and we used about the same amount of things that you use. We plan to be doing a video this week on our current battery and solar setup on our AF1150 camper. We can now run everything and charge anything except running A/C. Hope tbis helps!

    What’s the max amp it puts in the battery on full sun?

  • @zp944

    @zp944

    Жыл бұрын

    Well, it's rated for 200 watts at 12 volts. Watts = volts * amps. So to solve for amps, divide both sides by volts. Watts / volts = amps So for this setup, it's 200w / 12v = 16.7a Subtract for loss, and you're looking at about 16 amps per hour under ideal conditions

    I am assuming you DONT have to connect the solar charge controller on the back of the panel if your rig already has a solar charge controller installed - am I seeing that correctly? What I am trying to avoid is exactly what you are showing....low voltage at 15vdc isn't enough to start the charge circuit on a Redarc Manager 30 which requires 17.5 vdc to initiate charging...then volts can vary between 9vdc and 32vdc - the question is - what voltage are you seeing out of the panels if you measure in the MC4 cable end? (instead of plugging in the supplied charge controller)

  • @InfiniteExplorers

    @InfiniteExplorers

    3 жыл бұрын

    With this panel setup I think you have to stay connected to the controller since it all comes wired that way when it arrives. Someone else might be able to answer your question though :)

    You don't run anything with the solar panel. You run your equipment with the battery and the solar panel charges the battery. So your question depends on what size battery you have.

    Not sure what you mean about 2 bank, but yes the Voyager controller has a lifepo4 charging profile in the menu. Maybe you mean 2 batteries in the bank? If that is the case, it just means it takes long to charge a larger capacity bank. The number of batteries doesn't matter. Its the total amp hours that dictates how long it takes to charge.
