At the COP28 climate change conference in Dubai, more than 130 national governments including the European Union agreed to work together to triple the world’s installed renewable energy capacity to at least 11,000 GW by 2030. Renewables 2023 provides detailed country-level analysis on the progress towards the global tripling target. Alongside the report, an online dashboard is also available, which maps all the relevant data to measure renewable energy deployment through 2028.

When a country reports its methane emissions how will that value be validated or audited? Do you just accept it? Or do you look for the source? Examples Methane emissions from the dairy industry. And methane leaks from oil and gas production and processing facilities. Is there a validated , objective , repeatable metric and measurement technology ? If not then how do we believe any report?

Satalites looking down on the Earth can see methane, it is quite easy to see who is emitting and even identify individual locations to a granularity of several miles, thats enough to distinguish different industry sources even within a country.

It is misnomer to say that electricity generation from renewable is cheaper than from conventional sources. Renewable electricity generation would be cheaper only when the storage cost of electricity along with generation cost is less than generation from fossil fuels

That's not how the word 'cost' works, your trying to conflate two different things.
