You could even explain it like this. The Animatet Universe is a weak Universe so Darkside send a weak Avatar and after that one lost he simply didnt bother with it anymore until his avatar got resurectet and then he thought. "Huh...well if he is already ther why not"

The whole reason Darkseid is so strong is because his very existence outside of the DC multiverse avoided the Crisis on Infinite Earth reboot in 1985. They even comment on this several times over the years that Darkseid and the rest of the new gods watched the events unfold. So imagine a silver age villain just sticking around in a modern age comic. It’s like an adult walking around children.

Darkseid's opening move was to headbutt Thanos' punch, and had his arms behind his back for basically the first half of the fight; if that doesn't say 'I'm not taking you seriously' I don't know what does.

Basically if you're at a reasonable level where you read summaries, occasional comics, read up on abilities, this battle is what you would get. I know darkseid is multiversal, not sure how far it goes though. Thanos I'm honestly not that sure about, basically all ive heard is he can beat anyone with prep (within reason anyway, he's not going to beat some shit like the one above all).

Yeah did not care for either character or anything, but the battle itself was awesome.

People react to power levels in DC negatively only because they usually will have grown up with Marvel (the movies at least). And the MCU is severely underpowered *even for Marvel*.

To be fair, one of the main reasons why people react negatively to DC's power scaling is because if DC wants to create powerful villains/heroes, they practically automatically need to be on par with Superman, who's so OP that the scaling is broken.

When you look into the Marvel Comics, there's actually quite a few good guys that are crazy powerful and belongs in the cosmic if not reality threat level. Especially Mutants, they could justify almost everything as normal. What most people see nowadays in MCU is actually scaled down, so that new viewers could relate easier. Thor could easily destroy planets in the comics yet the movies didn't depict him bashing alien into a splat. So if people want to see Marvel heroes not getting outclassed easily by their villain, they could try to read the comics.

I don’t think the power levels are ever a problem if the villains can match it or are stronger, which in both DC and Marvel is usually true.

Infinity gauntlet: can destroy universe Darkseid: destroys the entire 3rd dimensional multiverse by existing in it causing all of it to come to him because he exist in the plane of time.

So the only reason Superman ever wins against darkseid is because the plot demands it. I swear I never knew he was actually that huge(no homo lol). And I did not know duodecilion was a real thing until I looked it up. In essence Darkseid should always kill Superman.

Basically, Superman is just barely powerful enough to fight Darkseid, he CAN win legitimately, it's just really hard. He also has some outside help, a Monitor basically gave him protection from things "outside fate" which means the Omega Effect is much weaker against him.

Superman once went mano-a-mano with his silver age self and shattered space and time across 3000 Plus universes with every blow given and received. Silver age superman once actually broke the multiverse by pushing his speed as far as it would go (Kara's life was on the line. First appearance of the spectre to tell him to stop), and this was BEFORE we had the speed force. Through his incarnations he's lived through all kinds of ends of the universe. But his physical ability is not the point. It stopped being important a long time ago. Superman is the 'unrealistic', so that he can inspire other heroes to do better. As grant Morrison said, take physical problems away and you can focus on the emotional depths...... Darkseid is meant to be the ultimate foe for him, a bigger infinity. one that cannot be permanently defeated through might but by living to his full potential as an ideal and undoing his tyranny. I.e, the ultimate test of character and manifestation of the fundamental point of what a superhero must fight, even when it cannot be overcome; hatred, tyranny, cruelty etc. his BIG weakness however is hope and compassion, which act as an antithesis for his nature as tyranny incarnate. a figure channeling and representing such things (superman, of course) and acting for the goodwill of other rather than hatred of him is more effective against him and can fight him back more effectively than anyone willing to stoop to his level. He's a LIVING, manifest metaphor, so of course it stands to reason. but hey, if superman can save actual lives though hope and thwart the klu klux klan in OUR real life, than he's the one to fight an enemy realer than himself; the darkness inherent in the universe. And Win.

Hate to brake it to ya but NOBODY CARES. We just wanna see an epic ads battle and see who wins. I think the best story's are when the villain truly is a challenge a hero can't overcome and they get beaten and have to come back stronger and smarter. Like bleeding edge iron man or superman and doomsday the ideals of a superhero age is over.

They actually heavily downplayed both Thanos and Darkseid in terms of durability, speed and power. Darkseid's speed is actually incalculable cos, he's beyond time and space (like all gods in DC). Don't get me started on how nerfed Thanos was but, regardless, Darkseid wins (cos, we're not counting Heart of the Universe Thanos cos, that was just stupid).

Problem with Dragon Ball is it is limited to raw strength. They don't have to worry about reality warper. Feel like Beerus is probably stronger and a better fighter but Darkseid kind of breaks Dragon Ball rules a lot. Hell Franklin Richards is just a kid. He doesn't blow up planets with every punch but he made a universe inside a kick ball. How do you fight that?

Guy on the left is completely wrong.... Zack didn’t want a whole universe, WB did because they wanted to make money. Zack was scheduled to direct a 5 part franchise revolving around the rise and fall of Superman and the Justice League. It makes sense too since Superman’s death came so early in the franchise and some storylines seemed a bit rushed when in reality he only had a limited amount of films to tell the story he wanted. Do your research next time.

The gaultlet was only used in so many battles because of its high amount of live from fans plus its appearance in the MCU. But Thanos has the heart of the universe in his grasp. And in no way would Darkseid defeat Thanos with that kind of power. Id even say the HOTU would overpower Darkseids Anti Life Equation

Aquaman already defeated Namor in "DC vs. Marvel" when Aquaman summoned a whale to pin Namor. Namor can fly but Aquaman can command every marine animal in the water. Aquaman is the true king of the sea.

They don't relive every death, each subsequent deaths gets worst than the last one.

You guys should react to the new Star Wars fan film called Vader episode 1 Shards of the Past by Star Wars Theory. Definitely high quality think you guys would enjoy. The story takes place a couple months after Revenge of the Sith and shows a side of Vader you don’t get to see in the movies.

On the topic of reboots Deadpool has destroyed the universe several times. I think most of them involved Deadpool snapping and killing everyone. He used Puppet Master to control and kill off all the OP characters then went on to taking cold calculated murders of everyone else. Killed Wolverine with Carbonatium and proper precautions because Deadpool knew “you don’t keep coming back because of your Healing Factor, you come back because of your fans” so whenever Wolverine would come back, he would instantly be killed again. Killed Kitty Pride with a maze of mirrors inside a large box, because he couldn’t touch her so she would be lost, trapped with her own power until she starved, died, or killed herself. They used Deadpool as a reset button for the Marvel Universe so many times they made a story arc with all the Evil Deadpool’s versus the Good Deadpool’s to save the Marvel Multiverses

Do they have no sense of scale? Start with small stuff, then build up to Darkseid. Don't have him in the second movie.

catxborsuq1 hopefully they don’t try to merely copy Thanos. He should be portrayed as this imposing threat that wipes out the DC heroes like nothing. But unlike Thanos, Darkseid wouldn’t have any humanity or sympathy. Just dead set on wanting to achieve absolute tyranny because he wants to, and they should do it in a terrifying way. Villains come in many forms. Where you fascinate with their humanity or lack of.

Kirby vs majin bu and Spider-Man vs Batman are some of the best

Darkseid just has far better speed feats and strength/power feats the Thanos, example he’s fought multiple beings who can transcend dimensions and the concepts of time and space with speed alone like flash, Superman, etc and they still wasn’t fast enough to beat him, power wise he’s like mid to high Outerversal which is leagues above Thanos who’s like hyperversal at best but I think there’s low Outerversal scaling for him but I don’t know what those are. Edit: should be noted that Death Battle heavily downplayed both of them, it’s honestly sad.

The reason they don't want it to be called the DC Cinematic Universe because they are playing off the Multiverse meaning they want it to be open so that you can have multiple universe characters (they are already doing that in the CW Arrowverse). Will this work? I don't know and I think it would be super hard to pull off that at this time not even the MCU would want to try that. That's why there's a rumored rated R Lobo movie that may be made in the near future, and it will take place on an earth where there is no such thing as the Justice League.

Aquaman is much better than Wonder Woman, if just for one thing. Aquaman had _good_ villains, including Black Manta, who is just fucking amazing.

Another thing was, both movies had predictable plots, but Aquaman didn't try to hide it. Wonder Woman seemed to think people wouldn't pick up on who Ares was. But yeah, embracing the silly stuff is never a bad idea. That's part of why the Flash series is doing so well, they're willing to do things like include the Speed Force, King Shark, Jay Garrick's Mercury hat, etc.

Ares would've been much better if he'd been CGI'ed to be his comic appearance. Otherwise, I was just always thinking, "Wow, Professor Lupin is mad." I think the sequel's villain will be better (hopefully).

Even that is impossible as all darksied has to do is enter into universe and literally destroy it by his sheer size. He basically like a whale entering into a kiddie pool to fight a shrimp

Frieza getting cut to bits, then blown apart Ganon getting the master sword rammed thought his skull Bowser falling into hot lava, as Mario is in the next room kissing peach Getting murder by fucking Lucy from Elfen Lied Being chased for internity by Slender Man, just to ultimatly die in the end Forever stuck in the office in FNaF Forever playing getting over it... and never reaching the top, forever being belittled by the voice of god, giving you back handed encouragement.

Some people think Thanos could win probably because unlike Thanos Darkseid has never been in a film
