Rendezvous with Simi Garewal Rekha Part 1

Ойын-сауық

REKHA
Rekha is a friend. She had watched each and every Rendezvous and told me how much she loved them. For several years I invited her to have a rendezvous with me, she would always reply, "I don't have the self-confidence."
The time came for my 100th Rendezvous episode. I wanted a' special guest' for this landmark show, so I asked her once again. This time she agreed - and it really was 'special'...
I've known Rekha for a long time. I find her absorbing - and very entertaining too. She is a great mimic!
We have endless phone talks - always about four hours! And each time she surprises me with new facets in her to love. Rekha is
immensely wise and astute. Acutely observant. Has an elephantine memory. She is also the least self-obsessed star I know; some one who never harbours a mean thought or word. Rekha loves generously.
In my rendezvous -- I took her back in her journey from Bhanurekha, the child; through her stormy adolescence.. her stardom.. her loves...marriages.. covering, in fact, Rekha's entire evolution.
It's a panoramic canvas of one of the most legendary stars of our time -- and also - an intimate portrait of a woman.
Don't miss it....Watch the other two parts as well!

This show seriously needs to make a comeback and Simi Garewalji is an amazing host. She let's her guests finish. She understands their emotions and is very humble unlike other talk show hosts and this interview with Rekhaji is pure gold. Simiji talked about Rekha's personal life struggles with so much empathy and with utmost respect. Truly beautiful.

Why do you want to impose/ force a particular language upon someone, who has no interest and neither is that important to know that ' particular ' language. Definitely not the criteria to tell someone is educated/ literate or not.

It’s so sad reading the comments in this video that so many view Rekha as a tragic figure simply because she doesn’t have a husband or children. Not every woman wants to have children or a husband and there’s a difference between being lonely and being alone. Rekha to me is a symbol of strength and courage, a woman who rose above a dysfunctional childhood, broken romances who had the courage to live life on her own terms in a patriarchal society. Rekha should be celebrated, not pitied. This is my thousand time watching this interview and with each viewing I learn something new about womanhood. ❤️ you Rekha and Queen Simi ❤️

Parents are not always generous. Whether in Rekha's life or in mine, all the miseries were rooted by parents themselves. Old people sent to old age home are paying the price for their own negligence. I truly wish if someone make a film on this topic which could make the society understand that it is not always the children who are responsible for these types of situations. If people are not capable, they should not get married, at least this can prevent the damages happening to faultless and innocent children. Gone are the days when honesty was an asset and today people are bullied, harassed and even assassinated for being honest. It is evident from my case that I was getting beaten during my childhood for being honest and today mentally harassed. May God shower some mercy upon unlucky children like us.

I think Rekha is one of the most gorgeous women in the world. In fact, I think she just gets more beautiful with age. BUT I also think she has a lack of a loving male presence in her life that has affected her permanently and made her very defensive. And I also think her difficult childhood has made her quite cold, and emotionally guarded. You can tell she does not enjoy talking about her childhood because she has compartmentalized it. Unfortunately I can relate to this insecurity. I was raised without the love of a father and forced to grow up fast, and it has made me quite distrustful and Machiavellian and guarded, especially around men. When she said 'I was too shy to open my mouth when there was male company' I can totally relate to that. When I look at Rehka I can see the knowing in her eyes, but I think its to mask the look of vulnerability. And it is something I can relate to. We are damaged by a lack of a loving father and vulnerable, we have had to develop a hard shell. And we are looking for the loving indulgent father figure we never had. Rekha has decided it's better to be alone and in love with the 'fantasy' male figure than risk being hurt again. When she says she has healed, I really think she has just hardened herself.

Rekha was asked about her professional and personal relationship with Amitji and I felt she played with a straight bat. Why was Amitji not posed with any question pertaining to his leading ladies? Was it because he has a family to answer and is very active in public life?

Rekha ji is the epitome of beauty. I don't know how many times I have watched this episode. The talking style between the two people and the special bonding, which I never saw in any interview really made me to watch your video without even skipping once. I admire you a lot Simi mam. This is the real type of talk shows we need in this era. So much clear cut view of the lives of these people. You have such a Personality mam. Rekha ji is such a humble person. A women's mind is deeper than the ocean is truly proved here.

she is so guarded in her words. it just shows she is not free at all. she has to think well n then say her answers. its so clear she didnt hv a smooth upbringing. afterall that she"s been through its really grt what she made of herself today. hats off to her.

I just wish someone had hugged her in her childhood and told her it's ok and comforted her. The whole conversation is... A little uncomfortable to watch because Rekha is like an image she has built for herself and you can no more know if a person exists beyond that image. 💜
