During the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, George Lucas received an honorary Palme d'Or for his monumental impact to the cinema industry. On May 24th, 2024, he participated in a talk session in the Debussy theatre in Cannes called "Rendez-vous avec George Lucas." In this clip, Lucas recounts his time shortly after film school, working with new peers, and the creation of the "New Hollywood" troupe.
