My estimate...at least 345 km with 110.km/h. Some 380 with 100 km/h. (same temp, wind and route and that 274 range is correct at those 130 km/h). But it is dangerous t asume that 11% is really 11 %. Also ...most EV cars will go to turtle mode when they come below somewhere near 5%.. Safe range should be 330 with 110 and 360 with 100 km/h. (And I cannot use such a car....I need 360 km range in winter (with 100 km/h because that's the maximum allowed speed where I live). Because the economics for any EV only work if most charging is done at home and I regularly drive 360-370 km on a day.

@@reiniernn9071 The problem with EV's, is when you take a family + luggage the situation turn to a new story!!! you will not do a 120Km at that speed, maybe 150 at 110km/h, what is ultra bad... I believe that it's a city car, not a highway traveler!!

@@Maximius38 The range from an ev does not change much if you load the car with family and luggage. Weight is not very important for energy usage. The drag of the car is most important for energy usage. It is possible (depending on which car) that a fully loaded car uses less energy because the drag reduces a little when the car gets lower to the ground due to the extra weight. If you mean driving with a luggage trailer. In europe we have lower speed limits with trailer than without. When I drive with my 750 kg trailer (heught 171 cm) the energy usage / km is the same or lower as with driving without that trailer . Speed limit with trailer 80 km/h (driving between 85 and 90 km/) without 125 km/h My experiences contradict your comment.

Model 3 has better range but not the same use, Model Y is more that, but has barely a better range only because of a bigger battery, and is more expansive. The Renault looks to be a step up in ride comfort, quiet cruising, infotainment system and the all round quality is something every reviewer comments on...but we won’t be swapping out the Kia which has a better loading setup and more back seat room. The Megane looks great though and we are looking forward to seeing them on the roads here...after all the French love their Renaults

Forgot to say thanks.... your reviews are much appreciated, really enjoy the 130 km/h test...a speed I rarely do, I must be getting old! Looking forward to the comparison with ID3, most journalists think Renault have a real winner here saying the design, quality and the driving experience are better than the VW. I think some shocks are coming to the established car makers in Europe, most especially to Germany, the country is so steeped in engineering excellence of the ICE sort...which is rapidly becoming irrelevant. Some of the Chinese offerings are impressive and keenly priced. We live in interesting times.

I will have a test drive but I am not in the market for a new car now, perhaps never will be. The new one is slightly bigger and has the ability to tow, which would be useful for us but I wouldn’t break the bank over getting one. For me it would have to be a step-up in charging speed, the range is fine but they missed an opportunity to lift the charging speeds to be at least competitive with the ID3 and Megan (130 KW). Having done a 1,100 km run to Frankfurt last winter it would have been useful to shave 10-15 minutes off charging stops.

A very, very nice car, inside and out! Unfortunately not an option for me because I have a single garage, typically german, relatively narrow. Unfortunately, the loading flap position at the front right is the most unfavorable one could wish for in a single garage. So the Megane unfortunately falls out of the circle of possible EVs for me. Pity! 🤷🏼‍♂

Im waiting for this car tome come in my company for drivin. In my opinion too big wheels are on that E-Megane and draining battery 20% more than should be... We are ask Renault for smaller wheels and we will receive 18" version, that is the lowest they producing for that model of car. Right now im driving Hyundai Kona Electric and i cannot skeep 250 km city driving even last couple of days and weather condition are between 25-30° perfect for battery. In my opinion car is too agressive even in ECO "slowest" mode. Also we have a year old Renault Zoe who have same engine, power and battery capacity like Kona and is able to skeep 320+km city driving range easy, sometimes show me 400km but reallity about 300-350 depends of driving. Hyundai is not close to that... If you turn ON air condition you lost 50km of driving, in Zoe is not konected to battery and you can drive eich your climate all day without losing range. 👏🏻 Yes, Kona is almost 300kg havier, 17" wheels, but Zoe is also 1.500kg like some normal wagoon car 😀 and 16" wheel size. Hope this car will skeep around 400km, that is what we need. We have one Kona 150kw power (210 hp) and range on that car is easy 400+km, around 450 without problem, but other two Kona's are not even to 280 close. In winter in my experience we lost about 70-90km range, depends of temperature.

@@GHOOGLEMALE Thing is, here in Denmark you can drive 130km/hr on the highway, which is why it's very very relevant to us. My wife has 96km to her work place, and has about 90% of that route on 130km/hr roads. So when she gets home, and we want to visit family which lives about an hour away, we want a car that can do 400km at 130km/hour. That is exactly why we chose the Model 3 Long Range over 3-4 other cars. We will choose another car as car #2 in a few years when our diesel renault dies, and have other needs for that car. There are plenty of reviews/test showing 90km/hr etc, so seeing 130km/hr tests is very nice for some of us.
