Just FIVE! And so well played alive... ;-) SuperB!
Absolutely enjoying it, 2old2Rock. Don't usually speak for others, but on behalf of the Renaissance fans everywhere, thank you.
She's one of my five favorite soprano divas along with Agnetha Faltskog (the blonde in ABBA), Celine Dion, Marilyn McCoo-Davis (the tall one in the Fifth Dimension), and, of course, the great Olivia Newton-John.
Great music. I discovered this band through Mike Akerfeld interview. Singer looks like Leia from SW.
One of my all time favorite bands! Thanks for sharing ;-)
In NY, they were on progressive rock stations years ago (WNEW-FM, still on the air). Seems like only pop matters now, just like it did in the early 60s in England. Everything old is eventually new again. One can hope, but I surely won't hold my breath.
God bless john tout...eckcellent key bords on this one
I always loved Tout and Hawking both great Renaissance keyboardist. And some of the best up there with Emerson Wakeman and of course Van Lear of focus😮
The piano introduction was inspired by a French composer Jehan Alain "Litanies" which is normally an organ piece..
On fire this performance is! In those days the English flower power bands owned the world stage...
This is what angels sound like 💖
masterpice.
Scary, they were that good! Yet never hear them on Classic Rock stations!?

Played them quite a bit on KSHE 95 in the 70s usually the morning shows or over night. KSHE is still around after all these years since 1967. Station based out of St. Louis MO

@@davekriz7019 I've lived in St Louis all of my life I'm 65 years old and I still listen to KSHE especially the classic show on Sunday mornings. They were the second radio station behind one in San Francisco to play this type of aor format which included plenty of Renaissance.
Genius
Thank you for your uploads, I've been listening all morning.
a favorite forever - Annie Hazlam forever - beautiful composition - incredible piano -

youre quite lovely
I saw them several times in the 70's; Annie was fantastic as always, but I am a bass player, and Camp never got the credit due. Neither did Tout and Dunford. s
john tout-----he s good with wht he does
I mostly listen to Black and Death Metal these days, but i came across this band recently. Mind blown to how good they are! Almost makes similar band like Yes seem irrelevant.

I mainly listen to extreme metal, too. Renaissance are really good, but I don't see how they make Yes irrelevant. They do different enough things and hit different enough notes to where they can easily coexist. The vocal harmony part here is Yes-like for sure, but Yes has good ones of those of their own.

@@radicalstanza3614 I guess for me i've always found Jon Anderson weak as a singer. The music is great.

Some would say it's Freddie Mercury or David Byron. Just kidding hahaha. Hahaha.
@vondumozze So true! And to have had the pleasure of hearing their live performances was one of the most uplifting and pleasurable experiences of my life so far.
Will this ever be for sale as a DVD? I WANT TO BUY IT!!! Thank you for putting this fantastic set up here. Absolutely priceless!!!
If you wonder where the piano intro comes from, it is an extensive quotation from Jehan Alain’s Litanies, here played by Loreto Aramendi on the Cavaillé Coll organ, San -Sebastian, Spain kzread.info/dash/bejne/hKxnuKmzhtCtlLw.html

@vondumozze Well, I can sing and I don't think Annie has got anywhere near her due. But who cares! They are still performing...and performing well.
That squeaky toy sound she does with her voice at 4:18. Is that like an Irish thing?
No credit is given to Jehan Alain who wrote the 'Litanies' from which this piece draws MUCH material......!!
Let's see Britney Skanks or Katy Perry pull THIS one off! (NOT likely!) See, this band possessed that magical "something" that today's acts so sorely lack - um, what's it called? Er, ah... Oh, yeah - TALENT!
Sad that Dunford had never to be seen in this video...

2old2Rock: Have you got the set list / running order by any chance? Cheers!
this one has less than 14000 views and some nasty pervert vids have millions views..... poor poor world.....
