I couldn't agree more. I hate how much I judged him just on his style. I blame the dozens of other channels that said ren was trash because they couldn't understand his accent. This man is so intelligent and cultured. It makes me sad that I was so ignorant. Wtf is wrong with me?

definitely the most slept on reactor. I agree with this comment, you can really see who he is listening to this song. It's very easy to judge a black american, with grills and chains and judge him on face value. You really see the sensitivity to words and how they make him feel.

Found Ren a month ago and have been OBSESSED ever since! I'm absolutely blown away by his talent and artistry and constantly moved by his lyricism. This man has me contemplating my entire life. The algorithm brought me here today. Great reaction! Just started diving into Ren and his band, the Big Push, last week. That dude is pure talent. You should check out "Life Is Funny", "Money Game pt. 2", or "Humble" next, but really, just about everything I've heard from him is on point. If you want a couple of other great rabbit holes to dive into, that will bring you a bunch of more subs, then check out TOOL and Rage Against the Machine. I'd start with "the Pot" by TOOL and "Down Rodeo" or "Bulls On Parade" by Rage. Both bands are GOATed and speak on a lot of deep stuff. I'm subbing in hopes you get to these, but I am digging your dive into Ren!

If you like them singing together, you have to see "How To Be Me". You won't regret it.

Ooh, you caught the Ren bug! Hi Ren was live too, by the way. They did a number of one takes. I cannot decide between singer Ren and rapper Ren. Luckily, he cannot either. And I get you with James Blunt. Have you done his 'No Bravery'? He wrote that about the war in former Yugoslavia while he was a soldier there. James Blunt that is. He and Chinchilla also did 'How to Be Me', that was the other song I almost sent. That one gets me even more. And if you want to se Ren sing more, then check out his videos with the Big Push. I love 'Wade in the Water/Nina Simone', but also the 'I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop' Cover. And as someone said on the last video: Sweet Little Lady! You had the exact reaction I had when first hearing this. I literally listen to this song several times a day. I'm in love with their voices together it's angelic, in my opinion. I normally don't like female singers of any genre. I'm not sure why there are a few but very few, but her she's amazing, and their chemistry together just makes you love them both so much. They both deserve to be at the front of the line when it comes to musical artists. There are too many fake singers with so much more recognition that don't deserve it like these two. I wish I was sitting next to you when you were listening your excitement it was felt through my screen. Thank you for being able to see, hear, and, more importantly, appreciate true talent. also what lizzy said is true, hunger and losing it are FIRE same with POWER, and most of the big push is great Bongo Bong is an awesome cover he did back then, but honestly man if you pick a ren song, any ren song. the lyrics are gonna hit, the dude knows whats up and how to tell it (editing cause i forgot to mention she is also right about the screech/jenny/violet triology (they are by far 3 of his deepest))

Congrats on the 10K buddy! Personally, I like all sides of Ren's styles. He can do ballads, hardcore rap, hip hop, reggae ...the list goes on. Check out Ren x Chinchilla 'How to be me (Live)' as it follows on from this track. 'The Hunger' or 'Losing It, (Fisher Retake)' show his ability to rap among others. FYI Chinchilla is Daisy Bertenshaw, a London based singer who I believe has supported Sting and McFly in the past.

It's taken a while for those on the other side of the pond to catch on to him, but glad that you appreciate the genius that is Ren.

Guitar tone and vocals on this remind me a little of Kings of Leon, but they never wrote anything this sad. This duet is superb, such beautiful vocals and such a dark message. So bittersweet.

I love the raw emotion bro. Great reaction. I can't pick between the singing or rapping side of Ren. His singing always have hiphop style bars mixed in and his rapping is never just rapping. There's always at least melodic rapping in the mix and I love the contrasts when he seamlessly float between rapping and singing
