I think his king of the North, I am the new Jon Snow bar is also a reference to his place of birth. Ren was born in Bangor which is in North Wales.

Thats alright mate. I am just reading up on his history. He apparently moved from Wales to Bath when he was 18 and studied music performance at Bath University. His ill health began some time in 2009. He started a music duo in Bath called Trick The Fox (they have a KZread channel for some insights into his humble beginnings). It was when he was in Trick the Fox that he got signed to Sony in 2010 and later dropped from Sony in 2013 when his illness was making it increasingly difficult for him to perform live regularly. I feel there is alot of detail missing from that period so would like to know more. I don't know when he moved from Bath to Brighton it must have been around 2013-2014 but could have been as early as 2010 if he only did 2 years at uni. I read a newspaper article saying he was spotted by Sony whilst busking on the streets of Brighton in 2010. Don't know if this is correct? He may have been staying at his parents in the holidays in Brighton when he got spotted. I'm pretty sure his parents or parent lived there. I'm not sure if his parents split? He says love between his parents was dying (in power)and he turned to drugs to cope with the pain of it when he was around 16. I am aware he has or had a difficult relationship with his father but don't know why exactly? His father incidentally is quite musical and is also a film maker I believe. I think his mother is a singing teacher.

Ren lives in Brighton but he's originally from Anglesey, so really you can almost see his house from Dublin, lol

It's Brighton pier mate, as for recommendations you're on your own as there is so much dark or mind bendingly good fun stuff from Ren and The Big Push, my advice dive in, enjoy and knock yourself out, whatever you choose it's gonna be great 🎶❤✌🐦.
