I just have to say that while Ren is genius with this, and so many other, of his songs YOU are genius as well. I always walk into your videos knowing I’m about to be not only educated but educated in a way that makes me feel validated and included instead of how being enlightened can sometimes feel which is almost chastised for not knowing. You can talk about the hard things without making me feel talked down too. I leave your videos feeling more aware while not feeling like I was “dumb” before. I’m not as savvy or eloquent with words as you are so I hope I’m expressing my feelings properly. To sum it all up you make me feel like I’m in on a private joke. Hopefully none of this came off as if I’m just another ignorant entitled white American. My point was just basically to thank you for your insight, positivity, information, and inclusivity. You are by far my favorite “reactor” mainly because your so much more than that ❤

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but if you look at the Shell Oil company history page they LITERALLY started by selling seashells. No joke. This is directly from the Shell website: “From seashells to the world of oil In 1833, Marcus Samuel decided to expand his London business. He already sold antiques but decided to try selling oriental seashells as well, capitalising on their popularity in the interior design industry at that time. The demand was so great that he began importing the shells from the Far East, laying the foundations for an import-export business that would ultimately become one of the world’s leading energy companies.” It wasn’t until the 1880s that they started expanding into oil. Ren is clever.

I literally took my headphones out and made my girlfriend listen to your little speech about everything that actually matters in life is free. Because I totally agree, it’s hard though isn’t it. We’re addicts and like with any addiction, once you get sober, there’s no going back. There’s no half in half out, it’s all or nothing and that’s easier said than done. I love you Man! I agree we all have something special inside of us! Thank you for your efforts in opening the eyes of many people. I try to explain this stuff to my 18 to 22 year olds, but they still put effort and value into consuming. I tell them that a man who wants nothing has everything he wants! I’m sure I heard this quote somewhere, and it stuck, and changed my life and my trajectory in life. I have given up wanting many things I wanted my whole life, as if it was a achievement that meant I was successful. I can say I live my life much simpler and try to encourage the young to think more about what’s really important… Time, and what you do with the time you have., how much time do we sleep, eat, watch t.v. , be we friends/family, extracurricular activities, faith, fitness, education, and Work. How much work does it take for us to make enough money to buy the things we Want! Or want nothing and work enough to earn enough for food and shelter and enjoy the life of a 70 year old who worked his whole life to just do nothing and relax! I love you bro!

Shell oil really do have their roots as a company that sold Antiques and sea shells so they knew a bit about creating fake rarity by the time the company expanded and moved into drilling and selling oil and in the process being responsible for some of the worst environmental disasters the world has ever seen.
