This was the very first song I heard from year a couple of years ago. My cousin showed it to me and it never even occured to me to go through his catalogue. If only I had known about the Tales of Jenny and Screech, or The Hunger 😂 this song still has a special place in my heart though because it was my intro to Ren.

when you said " imagine if you were charge to breathe " just reminded me of a Particlar Dr.Who Episode called - Oxygen. so lyrics hit me a bit harder as that episode was alot about goverment controling peoples lives with money as well.

My generation thought that paying for a glass of water was insane. You could just go in to any fast food place and ask for an ice water and get it for free. Then they started charging for the cup then for the ice then they figured out people would pay more for a bottle of water then other drinks that costs them more to make because they have to add other ingredients to the water.

There is a play from way back by Ben Elton called "Gasping" where air is commoditised, the rich are buying in designer air harvested from the plains of Africa or the Himalayans, leaving the poor natives gasping for the lack of anything to breathe.

The 'she sells sea shells' is a reference to the oil company which started out importing and selling seashells in London where they were not common. The company "Shell" took its name from this activity and with the funds formed a corporation and diversified into other businesses for which it is known today, aong with its political influence through funds.

This has been the only time in my life I've been truly thankful for insurance. The total cost of being breathed for... $495,818.50.
