Bearing in mind that Ren did not have an accurate diagnosis of Lyme Disease at this point; Week 4 of Ren's CFS blog sees him reminiscing on what he has missed out on personally, his ambitions past and future and his positive contribution with the M.E community as of Jan 2014.
Many Ren fans watching this will be familiar with his health journey over the years that he often captures with the lyrics in many of his songs. As a consequence you probably know that he was misdiagnosed for several years with a myriad of different illnesses before getting a PROPER DIAGNOSIS of Lyme Disease.
However, some of you might not know that Ren has vlogged his journey on various platforms and set up various channels and groups across the internet to help inform the public, add support to fellow sufferers and to insist that the medical profession do more to research and tackle these types of autoimmune diseases!
Some of Ren's videos on these platforms are hopeful. Others are dark and desperate. They are, however, all important in my opinion to understand what Ren and many other sufferers of these terrible diseases where dealing with and where they might be now!

Oh dear Ren…. I literally cried this whole vlog series… I just ache for the person who truly has been through so much suffering whilst still trying to lift others up.. Thanks. I think it's important and enlightening to understand what Ren was going through in the past to really appreciate where he's got to in 2024. Some of it is hopeful at this point in time, some of it is harrowing and upsetting. I think it is an important message to the chronically ill. Now Ren can express this in a musical form. ❤

This is first video of young Ren that it hit me that this lovely human being still hasnt been diagnosed yet here and he has so much pain to deal with and I cried for him. Even 10 years ago he wanted to help others. He is a very special young man and Im so glad I watched Hi Ren when my son suggested it to me. Thank you Ren for just being you.❤😢
It’s hard to watch knowing what is to come and how long he will be battling this Goliath. The fact that , even then, he had helping others in the forefront of his mind is a testament not only to his beautiful soul but to how he was raised. A truely beautiful human being, then and now.

Thank you so much Pete for sharing all these precious older videos of Ren! He is such an inspiration and a true legend. I wish I could just hug little Ren and tell him that one day you will be stronger and you will be okay 😢. He’s defiantly one of the strongest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. 💜
This makes me so sad that he was going through this and it got worse. This wasn’t even the right diagnosis yet 😢❤. Thanks Pete
He is such an eloquent guy, so good at expressing himself. (I know he didn't actually have M.E. but for years, maybe still, M.E. has kinda been dismissed as a made up thing. In the 1980s in UK it was dubbed "Yuppy Flu" i.e. nothing serious and imagined by would be executives.)
I’m glad you are sharing these. It’s incredible how open he has always been and how even in his darkest moments, he still wanted to find ways to help and encourage others. I’m so glad that he’s able to create music and be back in the gym. He certainly got that Greek statue figure he was hoping for 😼 But hopefully the remainder of his treatments go well so he can perform again. I’m sure he misses being on stage and out on the streets busking like crazy. And hopefully he will be able to expand his diet. But it’s incredible how far he’s come!!

I've only been down the 🐰 🕳 for just over a month-ish and the more I Ren, the more I want to Ren! I find him such an inspirational soul and am proud to be a Renegade - I still have to talk with my amazing boyfriend to convince him that me getting a small, wrist tattoo of his angel wings, is a good thing haha Thank you for posting these Pete, another side of the great man that I was unaware of ❤😊❤

Thanks for this sharing. I cried for him because I knew how much pain was ahead of him and I was glad that he was over it and I hope that the road will only lead uphill after that.
Ren understood the Law of Attraction at such a young age and through so much adversity. He visualized the life he wanted and then he manifested it. 💔❤️🩹❤️
