Pretty much everyone is going to say Hi Ren and the Tales of Jenny and Screech. But if you want to cement your view on his more rap-oriented stuff, I'd recommend the Hunger, Losing It (Fischer rap retake), and Genesis.

What a crazy way to start off your Ren journey. A rabbit hole absolutely worth going down. Hi Ren is the video that put him on the map. I strongly recommend it. It’s what started me off with him and I haven’t looked back. He’s unreal. He does it all. Voice, rapping, musical instruments, making his own beats, acting, you name it. This particular song that you reacted to was written in 2021. Ren was bed ridden with undiagnosed Lyme disease for years. He was understandably angry with his situation and it spilled out onto this track. Every song from Ren is different. Some deep, meaningful, poignant. Others, melodic and soothing while others are just downright fun. Enjoy.

And he's actually super nice. He went through some really dark times. Misdiagnosed Lyme disease almost killed him. Best friend took his own life. It's a sad story, but he's bounced back hard. He was signed to Sony until they found out he had Lyme Disease. That's the best thing that happened to him as he's blown up over the past year. He's been on the scene for about 7 years now. This song is an interesting entry point for Ren! Ren is well worth your time. He's very diverse and he's blowing up right now. I'd suggest doing "Hi Ren". It's probably his masterpiece.

Yeah Ren is a child of the 90s and his extensive knowledge of pop references from that era is unparalleled. Hes a lyrical genius. And his word plays and double and triple entandras and cadence flows and changes is insane. He's got music from all kind of genres but he just dropped a new hip hop album. He's so good.

I just came from your Hi Ren reaction which made me go look for this one. Usually everyone starts with Hi Ren and now you already know why. lol So since youve already done what everyone is saying in these comments here I will recommend The Tale of Jenny and Screech the full version which is like 13-14 mins long its 3 mini series songs that he released at separate times maybe about a year between the 3 songs but they tell a story in order so dont make the mistake and do the 3 separate videos and risk doing them out of order like many reactors have regrettably done before! The order is starting with 1-Jennys tale, 2- Screech's Tale and 3- Violets Tales! Just like Hi Ren this one is DIFFERENT! But a masterpiece non the less! Im super excited to get your take on it.
