Read about hypothyroidism in dogs it can cause itching and fur loss. Another KZreadr I watch finally figured out that was what was making her dog itchy after trying everything else for a long time. It even took the vet a while to figure it out so might be worth asking your vet to test for that.

If your dog is itching it can also be bird fleas. Bird fleas is everywhere. Even in your bed if you have the bedroom window open. It comes with the birds and the air. The fleas can bite you too and it itches like 🤬 crazy 😅 but it's not dangerous. 👍

My dog was itching constantly so my vet advised to take my dog off chicken (I buy beef or salmon dry food now). Apparently its one of the most common reasons for allergies in dogs. I also bathe him more often with an oatmeal/dry skin dog shampoo. It's helped tremendously. Fun reaction! My favourite Ren song! Hello from Canada. ☺

@@RabbitHoleTVOfficial The dog shampoo I have has oatmeal in it. I bought mine at PetSmart here in Ontario. Any anti-itch dog shampoo could help though. Just remember to use dog shampoo specifically as dogs have a different ph balance than humans. Good luck!

Yup my dog has seasonal allergies. I use piriton. Half a tablet per day which keeps the itching at bay. Plus it’s cheaper than what a vet will prescribe. I got this advice by a vet by the way. This works for me but start treatment before the season begins

Please give some more details about the situation with your dog: breed, how long it's been happening, any life/location changes, new animals, new shampoos, etc. Could be so many things. If they're losing hair, and it's like that, a vet visit is probably in order. Hope you can find some help for them soon. Best wishes

If a dog is allergic you can give them benadryl. ❤ helps mine a lot. 1/2 tablet. See if it helps. If not it could be something else going on. Good luck

OK, so I am hoping by now you have sorted your dog's problem by seeking veterinary advice before the problem became so chronic your dog was distressed. (some owners do not seek professional advice soon enough). There are a number of causes which all end with the same symptoms. You will have needed to isolate the actual problem for the itching/skin condition. An allergy to food; or to fleas or even fly bites; an allergy to grass seeds; or pollen or house cleaning products...... A bacterial skin condition. A yeast infection of the skin. So many things it is often hard to isolate the culprit. Some things help relieve the itching in the short term, but without finding the underlying cause, your dog will continue to suffer. Vets have a great injection which lasts about a month and helps break the message from the nerves to the brain. It will give your dog relief whilst you isolate the actual cause. I hope is is/was a simple fix. The cause of these itches can be hard to discover and can make life unbearable for dogs.

My little baby had fleas 😢 we took care of it quick because i had a cat and we were moving so it was super hard! BUT both of my animals are flea free! Now she itches from the after affect what could I use for that? A good bath?!

In the country I live in, there is a special conditioner for dogs called Nutriderm made by the blackmores company if you have that brand where you live. It contains oatmeal and ceramides.
