REN - Humble Ft. Eden Nash (REACTION!) | IT'S AN ISLAND BOP
Ойын-сауық
This song sounded amazing and I love the way Eden Nash sang on it. Shout out to Ren for always finding some amazing female talent to feature on his songs! I enjoyed reacting to Humble by Ren.

Didn't want to pause this one too much because I felt like it would retract from how good this song sounds. I think I ended up pausing it too much anyway, lol. This one was definitely a very nice mix of a great message with a great sound!

Don’t overthink it. Pause when you want to pause. As long as you go back 5 seconds, there’s no such thing as too much pausing for me. I know others complain about too much pausing, but I love the pausing and find it uncomfortable watching people trying not to pause. Also, The Big Push (band Ren was in) has some live street performances of reggae cover songs that are amazing. There were hints of island inspiration in his singing towards the end of Hi Ren as well.

@@statsnerd2080 you're entitled to your opinion for sure, but yes there can be too much pausing, if it spoils the rhythm of the song it can be a very frustrating experience. In general the majority of reactors pause way too much, they may use a lot of words but say nothing, add nothing. Sometimes trivialities can overwhelm the song in an effort to be relevant. The best reactors are the ones who make the song a shared experience, they interject rarely but skilfully when it's appropriate. They add to our understanding mostly after the song with replays if necessary.

Added this one to my playlist and it's already stuck in my head. The cursive oiii at the end of the chorus doesn't want to leave my head lol
Ocean is another great one he does with Eden nash and I love it too. Thanks for doing this one! Oh and as someone else commented heretic is such a beautiful song
Great reaction again. I can honestly say Ren and those who collaborate with him, to date, haven't done a bad piece of work. For me they are of the moment ,a breath of fresh air. Some of their stuff I have played to death yet I still find myself humming or reciting something. "Pupils dilate in the dark. People die late in the dark, is one, It just comes out of the blue. At 60 I had become despondent to a lot of new music but I've been encouraged to sit up and look again.
Another banger. I agree with you. Ren usually has a message, even if hidden, somewhere.
I am a woman, that is a shout out to meeee! Seriously, another lovely reaction. I love this song, and in a way, you've got to find the positivity pockets in the dark valleys too, and this song reminds me of that. You can be both. We are human, as someone reminded us a while ago! Thanks again.

You have your own little cinematic universe going on. I watch a video and there is good kitty, in the kitty place. Then another video and NO KITTY. Then yet another video and I see kitty leaving....oh...I was out of order. Love your reactions and I love your sidekick.

The kitty is a very important part of these reactions yeppers.
I like your analogy with the Trojan horse... Kinda reminds me of episodes of the Simpsons where they would make a song out of something to convince people it was the right thing to do even though it was obviously not. Funny how the power of a song to deliver a message - no matter how bleak can make the medicine go down so much easier! 😂

So true
I love this one… I love all of them, but especially the ones with reggae rhythms (or “island music” as you call it). Good point about the upbeat music disguising the serious lyrics. If you’re looking for more recommendations you might want to check out “Heretic” (haunting, with a cool animated video).
Also, great chemistry with Sam Tompkins (man!) - PLEASE check out them busking together!!!

Love it! So soothing! Yes, happy Island vibes but serious lyrics that only Ren can perfect! Love the other voice too! Great reaction 🤩
Ren’s mother is a singing teacher.
another amazing duet with an amazing female vocalist is Penitence ft. Molly McKinna. it's hauntingly beautiful and you get to hear Ren on piano ( yes he's disgustingly good at piano also!)

@@xFayze looking forward to seeing that one! I've fallen down a rabbit hole of Ren reaction videos and yours are by far some of the best, keep up the good work.
Such a vibe. Eden has a beautiful voice. I love when REN gets into his reggae bag 🖤
I think you might like Ren's 'Life Is Funny'
I hadn't heard this one. Even his more upbeat songs have a serious message to them. I enjoy his busking videos with The Big Push, which cover many different genres, including 'I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop', and 'War Pigs/Killing in the Name'. His songs Money Game Part One, and Part Two, are very good too. Plus his cover of 'Englishman in New York' by Sting, is loyal to the lyrics while also making it his own.
Been my morning jam🎊💃🏼🌹❣️ TYSVM for bringing more attention to it😉 live in chronic pain so it's like an uplifting 'I got this' kinda song.

Fantastic reaction dude, I was hooked too, next on the list is Sick Boi, but the best storytelling, film making and twist I've seen in Ren's song is the Tale of Jenny and screech (FULL) which includes Jenny's tale then Screech's tale and finally Violets tale, I promise you you won't be disappointed, much respect from the UK 🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘

Yes 🙌 This is on my daily playlist! Great reaction!
Try Akala’s “Murder runs the globe” I reckon Akala has influenced Ren. Also “Malcom said it”.
Ren sounds a lot like Sting in this one.
Another great reaction mate.

Another fantastic reaction! Love your style. I'm working on a Reaction Concert to Humble and Ocean and I'd love to incorporate your reaction. Do you mind if I do that? I'm trying to create the concerts in such a way that they promote the featured reaction channels, but I also respect y'all way too much to want to make you angry or feel used. Right now I'm: (1) putting your channel name on the video whenever you speak so people can find you, (2) creating a youtube playlist with all the reactions used in a concert, and (3) shouting out prominently used reactions in the description field. Please see my channel if you want to get a sense of what I'm doing. Thank you for your consideration!
