I just love watching people's faces and seeing how they are affected by the twists and turns of the song and what emotions it brings up from them. This is just so dark but relatable to! I can relate to this because I’ve had Fibromyalgia for nearly 20 years now but only got a firm diagnosis 3 years ago! Anxiety and depression was terrible but I eventually realised that although my thoughts told me I was dying I wasn’t, after all the time I was like it I was still alive and kicking! During this long time I was given strong painkillers which didn’t work! It got to the point where the only place to go for pain relief was Fentanyl! I was lucky to realise that regardless of how strong they were they wouldn’t work so I went to my Doctor and told him I wanted to get off painkillers! He agreed with me and told me that he would help and also insist that the Pain clinic got me a formal diagnosis. It took me nearly 2 years to get off the painkillers, and get my formal diagnosis, now I can live with minimal medication and very little problems with anxiety and depression. Life goes on…… Nice reaction and comments, one of the best interpretations I’ve seen, you really got it how it was 🌹🌹🌹

Hi. In my opinion, it is great to rewind a few seconds when you pause to react. it helps with getting back into the flow. Also great that you didn't bother with captions. they don't mix well with Ren at all. Not only are they confusing but they give punchlines away and in some of Ren's work this is crucial. leave the timing and punchlines to Ren, not captions. "I don't know what's happening right now" That's ok, Ren is happening🙂 Loved your reaction, by the way, it was well worth a like and subscribe from me. So, welcome to Renworld, Bardcore. Also, follow his journey. He was misdiagnosed for nearly a decade while Lyme disease ran rampant through his body. Doctors diagnosed him with ME/CFS and dosed him with psychotropic meds that he didn't need while refusing to take his pain seriously. They tried to convince him it was all in his head and treated him as an attention seeker. They denied him retesting and the hallucinations and delusions he was having only reinforced their convictions that it was all mental illness. He suffered a psychotic break due to their brushing off his needs. He was finally diagnosed properly with lyme disease and got stem cell transplants and is receiving other treatment in Canada. However, the damage the lyme disease caused to his brain and nerve sheaths may be permanent. His courage and intellect and utter motivation is amazing. Only exceeded by his love and loyalty. His talent is unmitigated and unmatched and is growing every day as he pushes his own boundaries and widens his already immense capacity. His goals to also wake the world up and open our eyes about greed and politics and the damage it does. He's succeeding. Seriously, though, watch him. He's going to wake up the world, and we can only hope it isn't too late. There's a reason he's blowing up all over the internet! ❤

Great reaction :) Regarding pausing - yes always rewind a little. It's not annoying. It help get back into the flow and if a thing is annoying when people don't rewind and just resume halfway through a line Also I think it's great that you didnt pause a lot. I get the temptation to have to pause to say something and sometimes that's appropriate. But for media like this it's nice to watch someone go through the journey uninterrupted and just experience it rather than keep stopping and starting every line

Great reaction! Can't wait for more Ren content, you for sure got a new subscriber. I think skipping back 5 or ten seconds when starting back up the video is a good idea, it makes it a better listening experience for the viewer as well as it lets you get back into the flow before the "new stuff" happens. And if you want a keyboard shortcut for skipping back and forth just use the arrow keys, they let you skip in 5 second increments (also you can pause by just hitting spacebar; also also if you know all this stuff and just want to do it manually that's completely fine, not complaining here).

  • @KoalityReactions

I suspect @JensRandolff will be along shortly to drop his post in about Ren's history so I won't comment on that but I will point out that the vid you watched was a live 1 take (best of 4 attempts) using 3 static camaras and a hand held. Keep that in mind when you watch Ren's content as he likes to produce stuff that way. Also Ren produces/plays/writes everything. The two major influences on Ren are his illness issues and the suicide of his friend Joe when Ren was 21ish. Finally do ensure you do the complete Jenny/Screech/Violet Tale which is approx one 15min vid

I’m so glad I ran across your channel in watching REN’s ART! I think we all felt exactly how you did the first time we heard this!! Rent is a genius, an artist, a performer, a musician, and as you come to find out one of the most humble and big hearted people on the planet!! he’s truly a once, in a generation, musical, lyrical artist. He plays every genre of music at the masters level. He plays every instrument at the masters level. He sings, he raps he produces he reaches on beats. You can see how good he is at the performing arts…. His music has lyrics. They’re all substance, and he is all about affecting the world in a positive way.! I’ve listen to most of his catalog hello stuff seems to come out of the woodwork deeper I go, and I have not heard one song that wasn’t a piece of art like good like really good!! I’m sure people have suggested the next songs for you to watch such as chalk outline’s, the Tale of Jenny and screech, but I’d like to recommend you watch one of my personal favorites, and I have a hunch you’ll love it as well, … a masterpiece call “Dominos”. 🔥🔥 I really really enjoyed watching you react as you’ve got such a fantastic personality and the Looks and the intelligence all put together ! I can see why you’d be a fantastic actress! Looking forward to more! 💯‼️🔥🔥

Young lady, watching YOU watch REN was an absolute pleasure! I've watched the original (official) version and so many reactions that I've lost count. I really liked this reaction. You were transfixed (as most are their first or 20th time). Your commentary was insightful, sincere, and genuine. You're seemingly wiser than your years should allow. I like that. I don't normally subscribe based on one reaction, but I subscribed gave a like. Side not, I see that you are very new to doing reactions. As an avid reaction watcher, I would offer two pieces of 'advice.' #1) MOST folks appreciate commentary during a song/video. It's not 'mandatory,' but it IS a reaction video! So, when you pause and comment, PLEASE rewind 5 seconds or so. That way we (you AND us) can get back into the 'groove.' #2) I can't tell because of your hair, but you REALLY need to do music reactions with good quality ear or headphones. I prefer over the ear headphones, but you do what's comfortable... but my advice is to use GOOD quality sound equipment. Lastly, I LOVE the name... "koality" rather than the standard 'quality.' I also LOVE the title of Professional Shower Singer!! Too clever! Best of luck as you go forward. I'll be watching!! 🙂

Video was one take (out of 4 done). Music was done live (sweetened in post, of course) as well. This guy has an amazing musical and emotional range - from hiphop to folk/busking to blues. One of the most creative artists to come along in decades. If you want to see a counterpoint to this 'raw' piece, but also with the emotional content, take a reaction to his song "Su!cide"...... illustrates not only his songwriting/performance, but his engineering/production skills. Also the video makes use of cutting edge AI art.... bring a box of tissues on set if you react.

Great reaction, welcome to the biggest rabbit hole of music you'll ever have the pleasure to journey down. You mentioned really liking the lines like... "maybe I'll be remembered, for doing something special with myself" and "When I am gone, I will rise in the music I leave behind". I'm sure by now you know a little bit about his past health issues, being misdiagnosed with chronic pain due to psychosis, and after 7-8yrs finding out it was actually Lyme Disease. For a few of those years, he was in bed for 23hrs a day, and just standing in the shower caused agonizing pain. He honestly thought that he would never in a million years make it to the age of 30. So while he found treatment and is doing much better, he was still not out of the woods completely when he wrote this song, and those lines stem from his belief at one time he would not be on this earth much longer, and that fact still is what drives him, every moment that his health is not getting in his way, to make the most of every minute. I'm sure you are getting bombarded with songs/videos you "must do first" or "have to see to understand Ren"...lol. The Ren-aissance fans are very passionate and loyal, to a fault, but don't feel too pressured or overwhelmed, no matter what order or which genre's you choose to follow, you will not be disappointed, Other than doing any trilogy songs like Jenny n Screech in chronological order for story cohesion, whatever songs peek your interest, go for it, and he has a HUGE catalog for a 33yr old, who was bed ridden for 4-5yrs in his 20s!! Cheers!! ✌️💚

This is the kind of artistry that gives "broken" people hope. Ren, through this performance piece, has become to a lot of people exactly what he stated in the song, "...the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". So powerful, so impactful. The song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative then makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, tearing free and trying to take control, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the "God" aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will ALWAYS be a battle because we are all "a coin with 2 different sides". It's a beautifully cathartic and raw musical masterpiece. Ren is truly special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it's a trip worth taking. This was the 4th take he did and yes, it was done live. Wait until you hear some of his other stuff, especially his storytelling ("The Tale of Jenny & Screech"). You haven't even touched the breadth of this young man's talent yet. The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special.

Ren is therapy for so many from one song he helps so many people open up in ways therapists struggle to do in person. First time i watched Hi Ren i had a panic attack but thought i needed to watch it again so i watched someone reacting to it that was the best thing i could do i have watched many times since. One thing i think about this song is it needs to be seen by every one even in schools after a certain age, because how many children kill themselves because of the negativity towards them from nasty comments and bullying to them believing what is said. I went through hell, bullied all through school to the point i attempted suicide twice, and to many issues in my life since then I am a recovering alcoholic 11 years clean I suffer PTSD and other health issues so the majority of bad days over good is high, if this bullying had been dealt with i may have had a reasonable life not the existence i have to deal with now

Subbed. Great reaction. I'm not sure if someone posted this or not, but when Ren was younger he was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease. He suffered for years and all the doctors kept telling him it was in his mind and were treating him for mental illness. He was bedridden for most of the day. Because it took so long for a doctor to finally diagnose him the damage was done to his body and his mind. He is still undergoing stem cell treatment in Canada the last I heard and is getting better but won't be the same. This explains the monologue he had at the end stating he had illness and psychosis. He has a rightfully so distrust of the medical system that caused him pain for so many years as evident in his song sick boi. He is a really nice guy who has stated over and over again that if any reaction channel gets a copyright strike he will have it removed. He is just so thankful that after years of producing music, he finally blew up with this song.

Fantastic reaction/review. True emotion and honest comments to something you allowed yourself to connect to rather than just sit in front of as other reaction ‘artists’ do. Subbed. Can’t wait for more.
