    He posted something recently saying the reason he did this mashup was because he was at a Fred Again concert and there was a woman singing the "I've been lost" lyrics and he broke down in the crowd. It just hit him so hard... and he's bringing that to so many people now. The amount of humans I've seen connect to those words, then "but I'm trying" has been crazy!

    That's amazing. I love hearing the backstory on why he chose Fred Again. He probably thought of that woman when he first sang "I've been lost" in this song as well.

    If you want to see a quick synopsis of FredAgain’s talent in a raw way he has a tiny desk concert and it’s incredible…. I had no idea FredAgain existed before Ren’s mashup and thankful to Ren for introducing us to him.

    I pulled up the lyrics for you. Ren is self taught on guitar and piano. He learned by watching Jimi Hendrix in concerts and slowing them down till he learned that section and moved on. Used You tube guitar guys for learning as well. Was given an old guitar at 10 yrs old and it went everywhere with him and he still does today but he has since upgraded them. 😎 He had hippie parents drag him to music festivals a lot and both parents are musicians, folk music and the mother a voice coach/teacher I believe. He lasted 2 lessons before his ADHD stopped those. He lasted less than a semester at a musical/arts college before he got very sick and had to quit. Sailin' in tha chopper, road killin' like we vultures I became the queen when I rode with them brothers Turned to, turned to, turned to lion, I eat nightmares for supper Brrow-brrow on command, I'll sick em' on another Cause there ain't no love in the jungle Ain't no, no, no, no Ain't no, no (oh) Ain't no love in the jungle Ain't no, no, no, no ♬Song: Fred again.. - Jungle♬ Pull me out of this ♬Song: Fred again.. - Delilah (pull me out of this)♬ Everybody on a little mission, mission Money makes a girl, go missin', missin' I get anyone in an instant, instant Everybody, everybody, everybody Leave me alone Her boobies, get 'em lifted, lifted She wanna get lit-lit, lit-lit Fuckin' on-, battlin' a-, battlin' a-, battlin' a- Everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody Everybody, everybody, everybody Leave me alone, alone, alone Leave me alone, alone, alone Leave me alone, alone, alone Leave me alone ♬Song: Fred again.. & Baby Keem - leavemealone♬ Courage, my soul It won't be very long Though the night is dark It keeps me holding on God bless my soul It won't be very long Though the night is dark It keeps me holding on ♬Fred again.. - Clara (the night is dark)♬ I've been lost, I've been lost, I've been lost I've been lost for a while But I'm really trying I've been lost, I've been lost, I've been lost I've been lost for a while But I'm really trying I've been lost, I've been lost, I've been lost I've been lost for a while But I'm really trying I've been lost, I've been lost, I've been lost But I'm really trying

    Ren looking over his shoulder is something I've seen in other performances and it often comes when I think he's about to lose it and start crying, feels to me like it's how he composes himself on the brink while still managing to convey that feeling as he keeps performing.

    Ren put five of Fred again’s EDM songs together (lines from them) in such a creative way they sound nothing like the originals. Ren saw Fred again in a concert, and the last part of his mash-up ‘I’ve been lost…..” spoke to him deeply, because of REN’s own years lost to illness.

    Great reaction Lynzi, I love the technical explanations. I’m not a musician sadly but I love good music and Ren is not just good he’s truly talented. This is a mashup of I think 5 different Fred Again tunes. Fred Again is a huge producer/DJ/multi instrumentalist in the UK 🇬🇧. He is from an EDM background and if you listen to the originals they are very different to what Ren has performed here. As an aside I am biased towards Ren as he was in school with my daughter here on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey in North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. 😊

I can only wish everyone it hits .Ren gains a little strength from , from the bottom of my heart ! He is so brave for shearing such intimacy in his voice/music. Hello my friend Lynzi!!!...No one better than you, to make a reaction video and analyze this incredible singer, with an stunning range voice, who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"!!...Since then all this madness began on the internet, KZread and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano!!...You can see in KZread to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages!!...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers!!!...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...kzread.info/dash/bejne/lHiMlaihndy0kcY.html

    3:58, he's using his Cordoba classical guitar with nylon strings, which he previously used in "Screech's Tale", "Violet's Tale", "Hi Ren", the live version of "Animal Flow", and "Bongo Bong" (The Big Push). He used his Taylor acoustic guitar with steel strings in "Jenny's Tale" and his new Martin acoustic guitar in the live version of "Murderer".

    Thank you for letting me know!! I’ve seen some acoustics have a similar bodies and headstocks as a classical, and it was a bit dark for me to know for sure if they were nylon, but it definitely sounded classical to me, I just didn’t want to be wrong 😂

  • @eryksun

    @eryksun

    Given the overall combination of a wide 12-fret neck (instead of 14 frets), side-mounted machine heads with thick tuning pegs (to facilitate stretching nylon strings), and a tie-block bridge instead of pins, plus the sound of the nylon strings compared to steel strings, I think saying it's a classical guitar was a very good bet. I just happen to recognize his Cordoba guitar from previous videos.

    He started playing guitar in 2000, when he was 10. That was 6 years before KZread was available. His father probably showed him the basics (his father plays the bouzouki, a long-necked lute). He also taught himself by watching videos of his favorite guitarists, Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante. He first performed on stage at 13 with a cover of the AFI song "Morningstar". He could have started relying on KZread videos when he was 16. I wouldn't rule out books as well. In March 2013 he tweeted a picture of a book he'd just bought, which was a step-by-step breakdown of all of Jim Hendrix's songs.
