I have never seen the previous versions maybe that's why I genuinely don't understand why people call Ren a big red flag. Seeing this version and this beautiful edit, my love for his character has only grown. Gorya being hated upon for lying to Thyme meanwhile all of you forget all that Thyme had done to Gorya before he started liking her. She was close to being sexually abused that day because of Thyme, had Ren not been there and driven those idiots away from the basement. He then stood up for her when she was about to shave her head because of Thyme. While Thyme was standing and staring at her being made fun of during the party, Ren walked up and offered help. He has been there. Always. Since the very beginning he has been there, he spoke to her when no one else would in school. He didn't hate her because she stood up to them, and yes i do get that he didn't have concrete feelings for her back then but that doesn't mean there was nothing there. Mira herself said he had never talked about a girl the way he talked about Gorya. I'm not saying hate Thyme's character because every character has a different story arc and his development is there, but because Thyme got feelings for Gorya in one day and started trusting her immediately you cannot expect Gorya to do the same. She was bullied massively because of him so it will take time for her to start trusting him IT TAKES TIME.

Okay so, I read a few comments saying thyme is “so obviously” better for her. That may or may not be true, but y’all can’t argue that whenever this girl was in trouble, REN was the one to always have been there to save her. ALWAYS. Ever since the beginning to the end. Honestly I’d rather choose a man that has always been kind to me and saved me multiple times. Thyme has his strengths, but not my type. Ren is just perfect and calm and beautiful and soooo sacrificing 😭 he’s more reliable. He can definitely come my way . I’m here with open arms!!

For me, out of all the versions of MG, Ren's version is the most perfect portrayal to the role...his portrayal of the character is the most natural and realistic one, not trying too hard to act cold like showing no emotion always, his version is sweeter and more caring too, he's got many expressions, he's got more character dynamics her than the other versions, Darren's portrayal was good too tho I love Ren's character version the most 😍

If he had discovered his love on time, Gorya x Thyme will never happen. That’s the beauty or tragedy of Hana yori Dango. I can see from clips of episode 3 that Mira wanted to tell him something and later he is in the airport with F4. Which means he will go after Mira. By the time he comes back, Bad boy Thyme would have stolen Gorya’s heart.

The ways i felt Jihoo was perfection for the role. Ren made me feel that again.

Doesn't matter which Boys over Flower version I watch I will ALWAYS Fall for the second lead. Hats off to the Thai version for giving so much depth and layer to Ren's character

Ren's character is just too cruel. He knows that he will be rejected but the fact that he still confessed, it hurts him and it hurts me sm. he's too kind, he deserves better and the best. He did everything.

They have so much chemistry but I also love thyme too as his chemistry with gorya is like fire that makes you feel something While ren and gorya is more like a water which is calm and thats soothes you just by watching it but I have to say this is the first I liked the second male more then ML maybe I getting second lead syndrome for the first time 🥺🥺

Ren was there for her from the beginning. He saved her countless times and showed her kindness when no one else would. I know that Thyme is the main lead but, would it be so bad if Ren and Gorya ended up with each other?? He developed feelings for her, he loves her while Thyme just woke up one day and fell in love with her.

I had very low expectations of the thai version and especially of the actor playing ren (because it's my favorite character) but i was pleasantly surprised how he nailed the melancholic acting. He was so believable I got so attached as if I haven't watched the previous versions. His subtle smile and body language perfectly executed the essence of the character which means his love at the wrong timing affected me so much. I hate that it did but i also love it 😅 I can say the same for gorya, the actress has chemistry with both thyme and ren that I ended up watching everything, probably even replay it as much as the japanese version.

Ren's love is too late while Gorya's too early.

When i saw Ren in the first time i knew that he was different from the others 😍

In every version of boys over flower drama, I fall for second lead ml everytime..aigoo

And once again the way I fell for jihoo from Korean version ... I am falling for ren ^-^

Yess!! Absolutely SAME!! Jihoo's Second Lead Syndrome was my first intensely pain one, and this looks like it will probably be as well. Why does the better guy not get the girl in ALL of the versions!?? That is why it is so hard for me to watch them. The Korean version, was rather traumatic for me.😪
