Removing or switching hands on melee weapons - conversion tutorial. Look ma, no hands!

Most of the hand weapons in the kits come with hands or arms attached (no surprise there...), but what if it's a left hand but you need a right hand? Or if you want your character to swing the weapons with both hands? Or, no hands at all? My previous Salamanders captain was leaning on a hammer without any hands on the handle, which lead to some questions. Let me show you how to go about this!

Thank you! I'll try using some of the paperclip in a nice design from Greenstuff. So it will probably be strong enough.
