Thats not true. Have you tried to remove their watermark? It is not simple as you see in the video. Their watermarks consist if shadows, lines, and two colors. so there is no way you can remove it easily.

I think this only works with transparent text. For the completely opaque ones, there is no way PS would be able to identify what pixels lie below it

Thank you, I make animations and 3D models, from now on I will put the watermark directly on the model in the pictures, I will not put it in the background that has only one color. the watermark is used by creators who don't want someone else to steal their work and claim that they created that picture or use it in their works.

This trick only work if watermark is slightly transparent. So you can do a different watermarks to secure your work.

Yeah but there's a difference between copy+pasting a monkey and copy+pasting a hat for the monkey in photoshop - possibly even not by a human hand and just automated with a robot and getting more than 1 million, and using a 3000$ camera, getting people to actually pose for the photo, taking thr right photo with the right pose, right lighting and right camera filter and then paying that person for how much time they've spent doing it, then you gotta edit the photo to fix and add small details to get 50$ in return.

Use completely opaque watermarks if you want to not have that issue. But keep in mind someone is going to be able to even complete the art themselves if they REALLY want to steal your art. So just don't worry about it that much, opaque watermarks if you want to be safe. Artists gotta help each other mate ;D

I did this today on a logo I made from a freebie site, but had watermark all over it when I tried to download. It asked me to pay monthly which is ridiculous. Im willing to pay a one time fee because thats all I need it for. So for those artists who are asking for a exorbitant monthly fee, think again and reconsider people like me who just needs the service once. I didnt want to steal it, but you gave me no choice.

you can make an opposite watermark of the transparent one by inverting the watermark on the white background and adding color dodge

Fact: when you really need it, you can’t find it

Use color range selection and expand 1 px

I have my own solution, but it isnt as easy as this. Also to further improve on that, you can use the want tool to select the individual letters and get the same result as the beginning; in case the image isnt as clean as this.

This works ONLY if watermark piece is taken from the layer with solid color background (white - as it shown in the video).

Simple solution to shutterstock watermarks, pick the color palette from image, cover all watermarks and then use blender brush

Its only work if background is white. Can you please make a video for colored background

Next step in the arms race is for stock photos to have a more random watermark.

It's about understanding the message and clearly most people misunderstood it. Do NOT put the watermark on the background or the transparent place otherwise they can remove it BUT keep it on the model/whatever is shown alone and they can't remove it.

Please don't do this guys, by removing the watermark from images that means image is gonna be used without owner's permission, you can get into big trouble if you do this and use the image. Your id could also be banned in the platform where you'll be uploading this if it got owner's attention and if they report it, as this act is considered as theft.

This only works on solid bgs so don't worry, we have our own ways to dodge it (putting the watermark somewhere so it's not that visible to the naked eye yet not that easy to simply erase without it looking odd for example - I do this a lot - bonus tip if it's a multicoloured watermark)

Great way to not support independent photographers, cheers to you 🥂

Make watermarks with a quite noticable global noise and slighly not monochrome... so no individual watermark from white bacground won't fit to another on the same background not even trying overlaying on some object. Method from video would lead to ugly very noisy areas where watermarks was and good luck to photoshop out that areas and still getting good photos on output... even with AI.
