Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I remove the water pump and rear engine cover on my Honda CX500 motorcycle. A necessary step in gaining access to the water pump mechanical seal and the stator.

Do the quadruple bypass. Plus starter clutch springs. Mine were about an 1/8 inch shorter than the new ones and I've read a lot of forums on starter clutch problems. Also that o ring on the timing chain tensioner. It can only be changed with the rear cover off. Looking forward to see your progress. 👍

Thanks David. Your advice is good. I may, but it'll depend on costs. For me, the purpose of this project is to fix what is broken and sell. I need to land financially right-side-up on this one to fund the next project.

Waterpump cover has 2 locating dowels and a straight pull is needed

It’s hard to believe that engine was designed in the 70s. It’s really sophisticated. They could fuel inject it and use it today.

Watching you carefully, you have been an inspiration for me to restore my 1982 CX 500. If you are so kind, could you please tell me from where you are getting all necessary spare parts (gaskets seals o rings etc)? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for watching. I tend to purchase most parts from eBay sellers. I've done a video on how I find parts here. Hope it helps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q3p3q7qHkqfVm7A.html

Urban Monk TV no problem, it looks like most of the nuts, bolts& washers are all in great reusable condition, have you thought of buying a nickel plating kit?, reasonably cheap & you can create the original factory finishes, that’s the one thing I thought about after restoring my 76 water buffalo

@@bluehazeboy You've actually got me thinking about it. I'm starting a new business in my "real life" and my wife continues to have health issues that take a lot of my time so there's a lot of pressure to keep my time investment in motorcycles limited some. But it would make for interesting content!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Would you prefer a subscription model that is ad free? I've not done that yet but would consider it if viewers prefer.
