How to remove turbo on a Nissan T30 Xtrail DCi Part 10
Because the video was so long, I've broken it down into thirteen parts - simply titled 'Part 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 13.
I'm aiming these videos to viewers who are either new to T30 Xtrail ownership or thinking of buying one...or maybe you're just interested in engines and turbos.
Apologies for the wind noise - I needed to get the car sorted as quickly as I could as there were a couple of big storms hitting the UK just before filming and I didn't have time to faff around with a lavalier mic while working around and under the car. These are real world repair videos filmed on the driveway.

Just a little note for anyone who doesn't have a double jointed wobble head part, I removed the alternator belt and then the alternator tightener mechanism so I could swivel the alternator forward (towards the bumper). I could then put my breaker bar (or ratchet if thats what you're using) where the alternator was sitting and used a shaft extension to pass under the awkward part of the thermostat housing and reach the nut.

They are 134bhp or 136PS. Most info sites just list it as 136bhp.

Hi, apologies for delay, I didn't get notification of replies. KZread on android phone doesn't seem to work properly for me. This stainless steel pipe looks wrong. On my 2005 DCi, the cat is a simple passive oxidation catalyst that doesn't have any sensors, feedback control or pressure pipes attached. As far as I'm aware only the later T30 DCi from late 2006 to 2007 had a DPF with water-cooled turbo but I've never personally seen one of these to compare. The Xtrail UK Facebook groups might know for certain as they have PDF workshop manuals and info on their page. There are also members on there who may be breaking T30's for parts who could help.
