Would've been nice if you stated how to get the effects button to even appear on your menu. I have a pro account. I clicked on the image I uploaded. But effects does not appear as an option.

This is easy! I never thought that the Canvas can do that. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it needs credit card to pay for subscribing for Pro account. But I almost forgot that I have another account that is for school purposes. I asked if I can use my school account for getting the Canvas Pro. Fortunately, they said that they already enabled it to Canvas Pro. Thank youuu!!! Sub it already!

Impressive background remover, but the main challenge with removing background in my experience is when the background color is close to some of the colors of the subject in the image that you want to keep. For example: a black hair person against a black background. How well does Canva perform in that scenario? I didn't see more controls to adjust this background remover...

Yes, for best result try to find a high contrast between the object and the background.

it is pretty much unlimited. I believe there's a daily limit which is very high to avoid robots using it all day long.

So weird when I change the background colour it makes my whole image that colour and my subject disappears. Does anybody know what im doing wrong?

There's no solution to this, apart from double clicking on the image and cropping it, but not really convenient.

I just upgraded to Canva pro and the background remover does work but it does not save it in transparent background. I wanted to download a clear background image to upload the image on a t-shirt print website. It seems that it is not possible. In other words it does remove the background but I have to save the image with either a black, white, green, etc background. Is there a way to save an image with a clear background?

Once you removed the original background of your pic, it will then be replaced by the default background shape of canva. If I'm going to print the picture I will still have either square or rectangular white background. Is there anyway I can totally remove any kind of background? I'm using canva pro.

Yes, if you delete all backgrounds (and therefore see white behind your design), then download as a PNG and make sure to tick "transparent background" before your hit download.

It will depend on the complexity of your image's BG, indeed. I found it very accurate most of the time though. You can use the brushes, from within BG Remover's interface and zoom in there.

Is there a way to remove the effect or return it to a normal state (after you click apply) without using undo?

BG Remover is NOT included in Canva for Education.

We haven't noticed any difference in terms of quality. I'm not exactly sure if there are less pixels, but by looking at it it looks just as good.

No it doesn't. This is only for images.
