Removable batteries would also bring a ton of revenue for companies

Instead of buying a complete new phone you can just replace. I know you could before, but it will be easier for the average person.

The only reason they have to mandate this now is because companies were making people but new phones instead of replacing the battery, or making them more money? This isn’t supposed to make the company more money, it’s supposed to help the consumer and reduce ewaste

I remember having removable batteries, i kind of cant wait for them to come back, i really like how im able to remove the back cover and not only swap the battery, but also swap my SIM Card or Memory Card without needing that needle thing that comes with devices

I say it has no use because at the same time other parts of the phones go bad and gets outdated but still good in certain ways like when a news phone breaks we could easily repair it and not cause any other damage

Don't worry about this in the US... Unless somilar legislation is passed here, US versions will still have non-replaceable batteries.

It will likely affect the whole world as it would be difficult for mobile phone companies to manufacture 2 separate models.

Is not a law is a regulation! Each country takes the regulation and makes a law out of these regulations i would tell you an example: EU-517/2014 is about flourinated greenhouse gasses in Greece the law is called ΚΥΑ 85858/2124 and the appliance of the regulation is called EU 2067/2015 with the law ΦΕΚ 677/Β/31-12-2021 which is how to do whatever they want to do!

@@ChainPenguin ok but how do you sell your new cable and get the attention of the eu if you legally cannot sell it All monetary incentives to make a better cable are gone. Why would any company spend thousands maybe even millions designing a cable that cannot be sold on half the market for cables

I have another belief i think people buy new phones because apps become unusable on older phones and can you guess who's to blame?? Yes it's app developers like Google, Apple, Samsung etc.. they make your phone's apps slower so you can buy a new one not all the new batteries can make your phone work the same on the Apps
