I have same HDMI to VGA converter 18th pin +5v ok and 17th pin ground ok .but my chrome cast2 not working for HDMI to VGA converter.but audio working . screen resolution out of range 67.5khz/60hz. Show the screen . please any ideas... converter volt is ok.

Everyone who watches this I highly recommend if you see damaged connectors INSIDE a plug - don't try to fix it - it doesn't worth a trouble - just cut the whole plug off and leave some wire with it so when you strip it - you can see where each wire goes because there's too many damn color patterns for these cables.
