Making of so many people's career and so many people got awards in his composition. Unbeatable. Number 1 kal bhi the aaj bhi hai or aanewale kal main bhi wahi rahenge.love u miss u panchamda.

Yes Tanmoy-da-- You are so right --Pancham-da had a lovely, melodious plain voice--Even in Hindi he sang normal plain voice songs like Sharaabi aankhen, gulabi chehra (film--Madhosh) and Sapna Mera Toot gaya (Khel Khel Mein)

Pancham da was gifted by god for us his melodious music and he will always remain in our hearts

i met chaitanya bhai first at RD Burman's house perhaps sometime in 1983 .. RD uncle had then just won an award for some movie, i m not sure which ... chaitanyabhai was interviewing RD uncle and i just walked in to say hello to him. he asked me to take a sit and introduced me to chaitanyabhai saying he was a popular journalist..

Definitely Harsh-ji-- RDB is both great as well as modest genius !

Transparent interview indeed, the RD genious came to fore, above all we not only missing a greatest ever composer but a very good lustfree human being who never hankered producers but was immersed in creative pursuits to inject pleasures in music lovers, RD and his all composition both are immortal and gems, there are no other composer near to RD as master innovator.

what i remember is that RD Burman really liked chaitnyabhai . i saw him on several occasions at RD's houses in khar area of Mumbai .. whether in avanti or odina on central avenue or in marylands in north avenue or in picasso off linking road

What an interview about RD dada. Notice that even an interview on RD Burman is this amazing, because of who dada was. Compare this interview to the newer interviews of modern artists, how lifeless the new ones are, because today's artists are what we say in mumbai 'Pani kam chai'

Thanks Vupash-Da--i am speechless with emotions and have tears in my eyes--RDB was and is my Guru Dev !! Not just for music but for his humility, innovative yet Rebel approach in doing what he felt was best--Whenever he dared to experiment and go against convention.Like for instance he made our revered supreme Melody Queen defy her image and sing/record so many naughty or seductive songs--even where the heroine is in 'high spirits' !

Not pathetic but i am fully sympathetic # Wish to bring to your kind attention, that as is known in music-biz there were/are so many top super-talented composers like Jaikishan-jee, Laxmikant-jee, Bappi-da, Nadeem-bhai who were considered by the movie-industry as "very good at marketing themselves" # In fact Pancham-Da (RDB) himself told me that most of the time he could Not market himself, as he felt his music would speak for itself. But it's not always that this approach works in highly competitive showbiz. # After the release of musical mega-hit 'Sholay' (1975) for so many months RDB was unable to get new top-banner assignments, because in showbiz Only the dialogues of Gabbar Singh, Jay & Veeru & Thakur were Aggressively Marketed. All his genuine well-wishers celebs would request him to give media-interviews, but by nature he was media-shy and reclusive.And i whole-heartedly Salute Pancham-Da for this rare virtue. In fact he never tried to manipulate, use influence and try to get any of the Awards or National Honours. Which is why-- when most Bollywood music directors, playback singers and lyricists are honored with Padma Shri or Padma Bhushan, ---as of today legendary RDB is still not honoured posthumously by the Govt Authorities even with a Padma Shri.
