I'm 65, and I started smoking when I was 15. I quit finally Sept. 30, 2018. YAY ME!!!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁

He was one of my favourite anchors, What a great man!!!! humanity

I feel for her my dad died of lung cancer in 1986 he was 56 years old when he died I was 13 years old when he passed away I wish him and my mom never smoked a cigarette ever they would be alive still still miss they both .smoking is so bad wish everyone would not smoke at all you would live longer lives my mom died from smoking to she was 57 years old she died in 1994

I just graduated when he died, my childhood. When it was 630 it was time to wind down

Today is the 15th anniversary of his death. It's hard to believe it's been that long. I was 13 and a couple of weeks away from starting 8th grade when he died.

I miss him to this day. His daughter is gorgeous. If you want to be a good reporter, be like Peter minus the smoking.

My dad loathed smoking and he took very good care of himself and died of stomach cancer at 62. 😥 I just think it’s sad life is so short

Patrick swayze blamed smoking for his ailment but in that case is was pancreatic cancer he succumbed. Truly an insidious scourge

My girlfriend cried so much, it was as if she had just lost her best friend when he died. Bob Woodruff, too. She could not stop crying when Bob was injured that day. They are her favorite journalists, among others at ABC.

I am so proud of his daughter Elizabeth for making the right decision to never smoke, as she realized smoking isn’t a good idea at all from an early age too. :)

My late parents were smokers and died from it and leaves me with out any parents to talk to about things in life

Smoking is a major cause of lung cancer that’s true. Just recently they found a nodule on my lung and I’ve never smoked. It’s a watch and wait situation, and hopefully it wont change in size and shape.

We all are gonna die of something...I enjoy smoking, my health nut Mom died at 40 of rare leukemia after 7 days...I was 8..death is gonna happen when God calls..we'll go. 😍😍😍
